He has other special educational needs which I intend to find out more about. He has show excellent ability in his line drawing and has a great attitude towards his classwork. Jake also has a very quiet disposition but is also very gentle and pleasant in his nature. His communication with others is minimal and finds it very hard to speak up for himself in any way. It took a while for me to discover that he was very afraid of insects but was willing to draw from images of a butterfly and a fly while most of the other boys drew spiders and earwigs. When I sourced the live insects he had to be seated where he couldn't see them or he might "lose his appetite" especially in the class before lunch. Jake's style of drawing is extremely consistent and is very careful yet sure in his use of line.
