I don't think that technology will hinder how physically productive students will be. If anything, in my daughters kindergarten class they use technology to be more active. I know many of my ELL students have become more productive when producing physical work (such as handwritten assignments) after they have been able to use technology. The technology helps them to quickly jot down their ideas and then easily organize them without all the constant erasing.
