Imagine you are on the biggest ship ever, the year is 1912 and you wake up at midnight hearing yells and a huge groan of metal clashing. Your first thought is what was that noise, well it was the said to be "unsinkable" ship hitting a mighty iceberg. You walk outside you cabin to see panicked staff and passengers running around not knowing what to do. Finally lifeboats are lowered and you are denied access into the boat there saying its full but it's not. You started worrying if you would find a lifeboat that would let you on. But there wasn't you went down with the boat.

This was a reality for passengers on the RMS (Royal Mail Ship) Titanic. The following shelfs show you on the journey that the Titanic took, taking lives with it.

The Mighty RMS Titanic was a huge ship for 1912. So big it took two years to complete and costed 180 million counting in modern inflation. It was 401 yards long (that's equal to about four football fields) and 288 feet tall (about 1 football field tall).

This big ship had 3,000 different workers that worked on it, and out of those 3,000 8 died and 246 were injured.

Fun Fact: The anchor was so big it took 20 horses to transport it to the ship.

The Titanic horribly sank after hitting an iceberg and killing 1,517 people. Although the radio calls say that they hit an iceberg people have many conspiracies on how it "REALLY" sank. We don't have to much information about the sinking but we do know that it broke in half and sank in separate halves.

The Titanic wreck was found by Robert Ballard a retired US navy officer. He found the titanic by following a trail of debris left behind. He said that the wreck was surprisingly well preserved.

But they couldn't find any bodys. The scientist realised that they couldn't find them because they disintegrated.
