Mersin Batıkent Primary School

I have been a classroom teacher for 24 years. I am a graduate of Çukurova University, Food Engineering. I started teaching by taking pedagogy. I love my profession and children very much. I aim to educate my students with the basic principles of national education in the fields of communication, cooperation and technology and to provide my students with 21st century skills. The education of previously specially educated students We carried out an Erasmus project about the methods to be used. During this process, I pioneered the opening of a support education room for mainstreaming students in our school. Here, we continue our education within the scope of integration practices. In this project, normal students work together with students with special education needs, showing that they have the right to education and that they are accepted in society. We will carry out our work in order to increase the processes and to set an example for future generations. Together with our students, we want to contribute to the integration of students with special education needs by accepting them as normal in society.

OUR SCHOOL

Our School is a special education practice school. Our school is in Yenişehir/MERSİN. Our School has 100 teaches and 250 students. Our mission; to rehabilitate our students according to their capacities with individual and group education services by using special education methods and techniques in the least restricted educational environments for students who differ from other individuals in the society due to their mental, physical, and social characteristics.

I graduated from Mersin University Fine Arts University Painting Department in 1998. I have been working as a visual arts teacher at Hüseyin Polat special education school since 2003. I am happy to work with students with special needs. We have done very successful projects with my students for 16 years. I am happy to be a member of this project.

Each student has the opportunities and abilities that need to be discovered, supported, and developed. Each student is a unique personality. The students with special needs have the opportunity to live a good and varied life. Through the collaboration of the students with other students, the motivation of learning improves. Our school is rather big. There are 800 students in our school. We have got two steps in our school. The first is a primary school, the second is secondary schools. We teach students from the 1st grade to 9th grade. The school in which the child feels comfortable and calm, wherefrom the first grade to graduation there are friendly, intelligent, and experienced teachers next to each child can create a favorable educational environment, a center of creative inspiration for teachers and a source of creativity for students.
