This book is funny. A pinboard fell on Stanley and he became flat. My favourite bit about the book was when Stanley's brother used him as a kite and he got distracted and let go of the string and made Stanley fly into a tree ! 🌲

Paddy and I are loving the Frog and Toad stories. They are about two great friends who complement one another. When Toad is down, Frog picks him up.

If Julia Donaldson is a fan, we are fans. Little lessons in each story but never preachy, just simple, true and lovely.

We read this beautiful book in class. It is a really thoughtful book about how little acts of kindness can make a small difference. Another lovely Tom Percival book.

I love this book because it’s about cats and pasta - two things I love! It’s about a cat who loves eating pasta and his owners give him pasta everyday. His owners go away on holiday and the man looking after his doesn’t know that he loves pasta!

This is a really funny book. At the start it teaches you a little bit about animals, and then explains why you should never trust fish!

We have this at home along with Stephen Mulhern’s magic book ‘Unbelievable’. I think lots of children would enjoy it after the response to Jacob’s magic!

As part of the Spark! Book Awards that our school are tasked with voting for, we have read this book. We liked that it taught us about a different culture and even had aspects of a different language in there too! It showed us how we can connect with each other without words!

I like this book because it’s very calming and the little girl is so kind to the star who falls out of the sky. She washes him and dries him and then she gave him a tiny little hat to put on his spiky head

We've been reading some books called the Naughtiest Unicorn about Mira and her UBFF (unicorn best friend forever) called Dave who eats custard creams and farts rainbows. It's very silly.

Joan really likes the mythical creatures in this book, especially the green dragon. We like that Rowan makes new friends in the beginning of the story. We're half way through and we think Rowan will discover she can talk to animals!

I really like this book because I like the main character, Roan. He meets new friends and goes to a Star Wars school. At the end there’s is a part that helps you make journals and stories which I think is really helpful
