I have read chapters 1-4, and it's actually not bad at all. I like the Sci-Fi aspect of the book, and it is intriguing.

So far I'm really interested in this book because of how much they make fun of Earth and how accurate the satires are. Some parts are a little confusing as to where they are and who is who but I get the gist of the plot. This book has great details and a lot of good parallels and repetition.

I think the book is dumb. It's confusing and not something that would actually happen. I don't like reading things that are completely made up.

So far, I think the book is more interesting than the past two. I like Arthur, and I also like how it is set up in one day. I also think it is pretty funny so far.

From what I have read so far (Chapters 1-4), it's actually not bad. It is easier to understand and follow than Candide was, which makes it easier to read and enjoy. This is the first science fiction book I have ever read and I am liking it so far.

My initial thought of the book is that I strongly dislike the book. I feel like the book is trying to be humorous, but it just seems so dull. I don't really enjoy science fiction, and I preferred Candide more than this. This book is very boring and not funny at all.

I believe this book is quite funny and easy to read. I admire Arthur's dedication to saving his house and his resilience to the construction group. I also like Ford's description of his appearance and how the book said "his face was pulled too tight."

I enjoy this book more than Candide, and I think the satire is way easier to follow. This is my first science fiction book I've ever read, and honestly, I don't hate it like I thought I would. The plotline is easy to follow which is good.

From what I've read so far, which is through chapter 3, I really enjoy this book. It is a very easy read, but it is not like anything else I have ever read. Arthur is really funny, and I like how he is so sarcastic, but Ford doesn't get it. I wonder if Arthur is going to start believing everything Ford says because what he said about the yellow spaceships actually happened.

My initial thoughts on the book are that it's weird and unexpected. It was interesting and dumb how it went from Arthur's house being demolished to him being in space with Ford.

From what I have read, through chapter 4, this book is weird. I have never read any science fiction books if I am being honest, and I'm not sure how to feel about it yet. The Earth explodes, we're thousands of light years away, and then we're dropping a bomb in a huge crowd. Terrorism in a book. It's better than the others though.

From what I have read I think this book is very boring and confusing. It is hard to follow because the events in this book could not happen in reality. I do think this book is better then most of the other we have read.

My initial thought is that I do like the book better than Candide because it is overall a little easier to understand and I can pick up on the satire better than in Candide, but it is definitely not my favorite. This is one of the first, if not the first science fiction book I've read and I don't like that aspect of it, its just not interesting to me and gets confusing.

I've read 6 chapters, and if I'm being honest, it seems pointless. I understand what's going on, I just have no clue why I'm reading this. Its still better than the other books we've read though because of space and aliens

I don't find this book really that interesting but I do think it has some potential as I continue to read. I like the science fiction part of the book but it is still hard to read.

I like the book because I understand it better than Candide. There's some old guy on youtube who does the audiobook and if you speed 2x you can finish the book in like 2 hours. Fords chill also.

This is new for me because I don't think ive ever read science fiction, but so far its not that bad. I like some parts of it but it gets kind of wordy at times which can get confusing. I like Candide better because I feel like it was easier to understand and I liked that the satirical parts were super obvious, and I'm just not crazy about the space aspects of this book but I think I might like it better once I get farther into it.

I think the book is okay it’s nothing special. I think it’s funny how everyone is worried about their issues and then there is a bigger issue that they are going to die. I don’t understand the galaxy thing I think this guys kinda wierd

I enjoy the book so far, I have never read a science fiction novel before so i'm interested to read more. It's a lot easier to understand than Candide, but it seems kind of pointless.

I enjoy reading science fiction and so far the book has been promising. I really enjoy the space atmosphere within the book. It is an interesting topic.
