         <description><![CDATA[<p>My group of friends are some of the people with whom I work and study math. This photo serves as an example of our collaborative study sessions. While there were not a lot of various group assignments during this term in our math, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to engage in learning and collaborative work with my friends. Although there weren't many chances for group work in math this term, I was still able to learn and contribute to working with a group of friends instead. Together, we all help each other and learn from one another so that we can learn and improve on the subject.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I believe this is one of my best work since you can see the struggle of me trying to understand it and get the right answer.  From needing to rewrite it on different paper trying to understand the question. I pushed through and I was able to get the answer which I feel very proud of in the end. The reason I chose this is because I believe this depicts my best efforts of me trying to learn and improve on the subject</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Personally, I believe this is one of the topics that confused me a lot. During the first session, I did not get it and tried to push through by giving myself time and effort and copying from the board so I know how it feels to write the equations and models so I can understand.</p><p><br/></p><ol><li><p>One misconception that I see most often is Quadratic Functions and Models.</p></li><li><p>Through my own perspective, I think the misconception occurs when drawing and understanding the models since one gets confused and without understanding the first step,  you cannot continue through by skipping the question instead since it would require an answer in order for you to continue on with the solution and equation. </p></li><li><p>From what happened, I couldn't accept that I got nothing from my day and the session since I felt like it would be a waste of time and effort. Because of this, I tried working with my group of friends which consists of VJ, Thirdy, and Brent. I was able to squeeze out every last one of my brain power to understand at least how it should be solved. When working with a group of friends, I was able to understand and learn from each other. During the long test, I failed again in trying to understand models but after the test, with the help of my friends, they were able to explain and help me understand on where I failed and how I can improve further. I believe the misconception is often about the models and to find the answer, you must first get through the first step of analyzing the models and afterward, you can continue to the equations and solutions. For example area, without understanding the model and a side of the shape, you will not be able to answer the area.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Personally, I consider one of the most challenging tasks I've faced was during the week when we had to transition to online learning and postpone the long test on Linear Functions. Shifting to online instruction meant learning a completely new topic, and as a result, I started to forget some of the material I had already covered. This situation left me feeling anxious because I hadn't had the opportunity to seriously prepare for the long test. I was so scared since all my efforts in trying to understand Linear Functions would be wasted. I found it hard to study for 2 topics in math trying to understand both and not forgetting something. Not only did I have to study for 2 topics but I also started to experience a decline in my work ethic and losing focus. The chances of error for the long test were kind of high since I might forget something. Although there were many struggles during the week, I pushed through and I was able to get a passing mark which made me glad it was finally over.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Specific - My goal for this term is to pass my math class and try to get higher scores.</p><p> </p><p>Measurable - I can measure the goal by computing my grades on trying to pass the long test and quizzes.</p><p><br/></p><p>Attainable - I believe this challenge is very attainable and achievable as long I put enough effort into trying to pass math class. One must simply need to understand the topic and practice in order to pass. I don't think this is very difficult as long as I show effort and dedication into my work.</p><p><br/></p><p>Relevant - This goal for me is very important since I would be going to senior high school and having a mark of D would make me waitlisted. It is a simple goal to achieve.</p><p><br/></p><p>Time Bound - I think I can attain my goal without too much difficulty as long as I put in effort, dedication, and stay focused. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>During the term, I found it kind of a hill for me since I believe I was doing pretty well then suddenly I started to go down. Knowing this would be the term where shs looks at my grade I was pretty scared. Although I did pass, this is not enough to satisfy me. </p><p><br/></p><p>Smart - I believe that I can achieve this goal as long as I consistently put in the effort. Reflecting on my past assessments from the last term, they were somewhat lacking and my performance declined. Although this happened, I did manage to pass my math class this term.</p><p><br/></p><p>Attainable - I believe that passing the math class this term was very attainable and achievable but having to pass math class with good grades is something else. During the first weeks of math, I believe I did pretty well but I started to have difficulty near the end of the term which i failed one of the long tests. </p><p><br/></p><p>Relevant - I do not feel like I have completed my goal though I feel much more motivated to do better next term. Although I did pass math class this term, I do not feel satisfied with my efforts on getting better grades. </p><p><br/></p><p>Time Bound - I think this goal has helped me with different academic subjects and I was able to improve on my time management. Although I did pass, I think that I could have done better but I think that goal was still somewhat achieved. </p>]]></description>
