Supply and demand is a example of microeconomics. It describes how a price is formed in a market economy. If demand increases and the supply remains the same their will be a shortage because if their is more demand then supply then nobody would get anything done. But if the supply increases and the demand stays the same then prices will go down because people will not want to pay for items that can be found somewhere else for cheaper. One of the first person to notice this was Adam Smith says he " the demand was dependent on the price of good" in 1776.

Well studies show that they are sadly dying.

The reason for the death of these beautiful underwater cities are because of us? Yes this is true, bleaching started in 2014 which is now even worse in 2016! The cause is, of course, pollution.. These reefs are being turned from a very amazing colors to dark and white colors. Studies show that the “ 90% of the Great Barrier Reef is bleached… 20% of the reef has been killed.” We can stop this if we stop throwing waste into our oceans. Another big cause is oil spills bleaching the coral and killing homes to millions of fish. I think that it is wrong and we should stop this from happening.

Why do we trade

We trade because if the us were to make something that another country could make for us it would be a lot more expensive because the us doesn't have the resources that another country that specializes in clothing would have. The second reason why the us does not make their own clothing is because if they did the cost of clothing in stores would go up a lot, for example if the us made a nike hoodie it would usually cost $90-$100 dollars to import but if they made their own it would be upwards of $200. That is the reason that we trade goods with other countries.

Imports

What are imports?

Imports and exports are important to our country and countries around the world. An example of why this is important to us because we trade with lots of countries. "We do a lot of trading with China but our biggest trading partner is Canada with over $6 billion of goods and services each year." The US in the biggest importer in the whole world. The world can make whatever and they can be good at it but they focus on the things they can be better at. The NAFTA is important for the US Canada and Mexico. NAFTA can also make people loose their jobs because the other two countries can make it for less. If the United States made something and Mexico made something for less someone could buy that instead for less and use the extra money for something else. But it will make other people lose their job because people are buying from the less expensive brand. That it what I think on imports and exports.

Also there are basic laws that help decide the pricing of the product produced by the producer in the market. some thing that could drop pricing in the market is if production is slow or if not many people are buying that product or the opposite so they would raise the price to earn a bigger profit. Adam Smith said in 1776 that "the demand was determined by the price and product" but Adam Smith never saw that the inverse that the demand also influenced the price as well as the dependent.

Being a consumer means lots of tough decisions. On this website, they taught you how to get the best for your money, how to reasonably consider prices, how supply and demand are a big factor, and how you always look for the better deals with the price and the quality. It also mentioned to look for the better deals because of competition. Being a consumer, you have partial power over the products you want. Companies are always competing for your business, which means you get to choose where you go, and that will influence what they change. You will obviously choose the store with a better price of the same product. When looking for what you want, consider supply and demand. If you really want the new Iphone8, consider how many other people will want it and the possibility of you actually getting it. Whereas if you settled for the Iphone7 or the Iphone6, you have a better chance of getting a new phone. After a while, the demand will go down on the Iphone8, which leads to you getting an upgrade of something your more likely to get for being patient.

I like this article because it was a fun way to learn how to be a responsible consumer. Also, it adds in a game to make it interesting. This website could probably help the companies as well, explaining the things that the customers would like to see change or not change.

The Importance of trade is a trade of goods between other countries and why it is important to trade those goods. It is important because without countries trading with other countries the populations of the world would not be running correctly. Trade can be more then trading between other countries for goods, it can also be one country giving another country something because they need it. "Some countries might have too much of a good," in that case that country will either save it and use it for later, give it to a different country that needs it, or trades that good for another good with another country, or they can sell it. If that country decides to sell it they expect a good amount of money from that country. Trading is very important without it our world wound not function right.

Coral reef bleaching is something that has been going on since 2014, it is caused by failure to reduce greenhouse gases, Almost all of the world's coral reefs have suffered extreme bleaching: The coral reefs are bleaching because of warm waters, water that becomes too warm can cause the coral to become a white color as if they have been bleached. The warm water is thought to be related to climate change which is caused by greenhouse gases. Researchers have found that reefs in Taiwan, The Turks and the Caicos archipelago will be the first to experience annual coral bleaching. Coral bleaching is bad because it could disrupt and cause a deadly effect on the underwater ecosystem which is said to be one of the world's most important ecosystems.

On the other side are the people or companies known as pyramid schemes that try to get you to give them your personal information such as a social security number or your address. They do this so they can use your own information against you making you pay for things you didn't by and sending ads and harassing you so everyone must remember to be a smart consumer.

Today I watched a video on Crash Course Economics, International trade. Most of the things we buy, see in stores, or use are from other countries. For example, the United States imports goods from Mexico, Canada, China, and more. Also, the United States exports goods to other countries that they might not be able to produce. Adriene Hill says, “U.S. producers make more than enough clothing to keep us all dressed, but they don’t do that. They focus on other things too that we’re better at producing.” So, when you see clothes from China, that’s because they are better off at making clothing for us, than the United States can to them. “We buy from other countries because it’s cheaper that if we made them ourselves, “ Adriene says. And she's right. If we can make more and better planes than China, it is more reasonable to trade planes for clothing, both countries benefit Due to international trade, it doesn’t make sense for 1 country to produce all their goods and service because other countries can have an advantage. NAFTA, a free trade agreement, has positive impacts on all the 3 trading partners. U.S, Canada, and Mexico. Free trades decrease prices of consumers. When the Unites States imports more products from Mexico, they exchange money for pesos. Then the peso is appreciated, and the the dollar would be depreciated. In conclusion, making products is an advantage on countries and trading improves the global living standard.

The green house gasses around the world are driving climate change to one of the highest amounts it's been. The world's average surface temperature is projected to rise over the 21st century. It is likely to surpass 3 degrees Celsius. Some areas are expected to warm even more. The poor and the people that are most vulnerable to to the weather conditions are being affected the most. Renewable energy could help the world's climate change become lower and more stable. From 1880 to 2012, average global temperature increased by 0.85 degrees Celsius. ¨on 21 September, countries will come to the United Nations Headquarters to deposit their instruments of ratification.

I read the article “The Basic Laws of Supply and Demand” because I remembered learning about it and I wanted to refresh my mind. Supply is how much of the item is there, and demand is how many products the customers buy. The article also mentioned market equilibrium. Market equilibrium is when the supply of the product is the same as the demand of the product. But supply and demand doesn’t always stays the same, it can change. When supply and demand changes it is called shift. Some ways that a supply might change are the “number of sellers, technology, resources, and cost of manufacturing.” Some ways that demand can change is “income, population, changes in competition, and customer preference.” But the four main laws of supply and demand is “If the supply increases and the demand stays the same, the price will go down.”

“If the supply decreases and the demand stays the same, the price will go up.”

“If the supply stays the same and the demand increases, the price will go up.”

“If the supply stays the same and the demand decreases, the price will go down.”

Exports are important for our country because we can make money from exports and this is because of different countries have different types of currency. If a country gives us things in their country that are more expensive here in America, we make money. Our biggest trading source is Canada. We trade over 6 billion dollars with Canada a year. America is the worlds 2nd largest exporter. Importing is important because of we can also make more money from importing. We can make more money from importing because we can import goods that we (America) can buy goods for cheaper than we make them. For example: we can buy clothing in other countries for cheaper than if we make our own clothing. And last, exchange rate is important because we can trade more of other countries currency for U.S. dollars and gain money because we can use other currency to buy products cheaper than if we did with U.S. dollars. This is the value of internation trade (Quote) - "It doesn't make sense to make everything on your own if you can trade with other countries that have a comparative advantage."
