You could say 'This is why I think this' then respond to the others reply. By explaining yourself, you could be showing that you are willing to listen to the others argument. Try not to get angry, but try to understand the other's point of view by listening and asking them questions about their opinion. You could suggest everyone writes down their questions as other people could answer them (maybe it goes off topic as certain members are uncertain about the topic?) Could also set up a group chat or arrange to meet in a more informal setting to chat so the focus can be on the task when the seminar comes. Scenario B: Listen to what they are saying keeping their idea in mind while also putting my point across as well. But will respond respectfully instead of shutting down their idea.
Scenario C: Tell everyone to focus and try to push the conversation back to the main topic we are there for.
