Along with this, the death of Emperor Shi Huangdi lead to the downfall of the Qin Dynasty because he was also under the impression that corruption wasn't an issue so he swept that idea under the rug and continued his rule. Soon after his death, rebellion broke out in the Yangtze River area escaped workers and soldiers that have been hiding throughout China rose up in large numbers, and attacked imperial armies.
