In this picture, we see members of the orchestra practicing, in unison, I was greeted by this view when I first entered the performance hall, giving me a sense that everyone in that orchestra worked as one to create a grand experience

"Why do you listen to music ?", is a question that 's been asked to many of us, such an open-ended question like this one has no one right answer because we all have different tastes and experience which help the shape and form the reasoning as to why we listen to music. Music to me is an experience, it's more than just about the beat and the sound, it's about what those elements invoke in me when they are heard. I attended UNT's Symphony Orchestra program on Wednesday, September 20th. Walking into this program, I had no prior knowledge, this was my first time ever attending an orchestra. From the very beginning, I felt a difference, when listening to the music, one thing is to listen to the music at home but to be in the same room and live is a completely different experience. In the middle of Leonard Berstein's Symphony No. 2: The Age of Anxiety, there was a moment where every instrument came together and created a clash and contrast that built tension and anxiety in not only the music but in the room, a feeling that I didn't need words to be explained, that moment is one that makes the night so memorable.
