He received both of these degrees summa cum laude. Dr. Hartmuth Bittner also holds membership in several international clinical associations, and serves as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Hartmuth Bittner, MD, PhD, FACS, employs minimally invasive modalities to treat damaged heart valves and address aortic aneurysms. He is also an established expert on both heart and lung transplant procedures. In addition to providing direct patient care, Dr. Hartmuth Bittner has a history of educating medical students at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and the Leipzig Heart Institute in Leipzig, Germany.
