A big chunk of our economy is based on agriculture and as agriculture requires water, if the  water is contaminated the industry suffers greatly. Another way arsenic contamination affects the country’s economy is by affecting the workforce. As arsenicosis is a long term fatal disease, it reduces lifespan of workers and may lead to earlier retirement and more frequent leaves.
