It was really close to how the disinfection one looked since we already got so many of the solids out. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This step is needed because it removes the larger objects to 1) already remove a good chunk of the larger contaminants and 2) Get them out of the way so they don't damage all of the pumps and tanks involved in the rest of the treatment process. In this process we removed the leaves and rocks, which represents grits and fine human solids/waste, and the larger pieces like tampons, condoms, and other things that are flushed but shouldn't be.</div>]]></description>

The sugar and tea mixed right in with the water, and the other solids were either nonpolar (the oil) and counteracted the water, or floated/sunk (the rocks and leaves).</div>]]></description>
