Later on the family of dogs get caught by dog catchers. He gets taken to a family with tons of dogs in a pin.That is when Todd's life changes and the police take away the dogs and put him in the pound.  Two men from the pound put him in a hot car and forget about him.  A woman with a little boy named Ethan rescue him from the car.  He becomes Ethan's dog until he dies.
