The RPF (Rwandan Patriotic Front) formed in 1985 is a political group of Tutsi which demand the right to return to their homeland as citizens, as well as an end to social discrimination against the Tutsi in Rwanda.  The RPF started to invade the Rwanda in 1990, which again brings up Tutsi hatred throughout Rwanda. The main reason that paved the way for genocide is because of Tutsi's action of aggression. Not only the Tutsi were killed, but the Rwandan Hutu were also killed because of how they were defending, hiding or providing aid for the Tutsi neighbors. Any who refused to follow the genocide were also turned into victims of the genocide

The genocide lasted for approximately one hundred days, starting in early April of 1994. The two Hutu radical militant groups (the Interahamwe and the Impuzamugambi) are responsible for this genocide. However along with the armed government, their are unsettling perpetrators are civilians, for instance neighbors killing each other, or teacher killing their colleague or students.
