One thing they could do is ask for help from their allies (if they have allies). However, this should only be used as a backup strategy, and it is not advised, because strength doesn't always come in numbers. For example, in the battle of Monongahela, the British sent a large amount of troops to attack fort Duquesne. However, even with the greater amount of troops, they were defeated.
2. They could try to negotiate with the French and split the land into two parts. This is a good plan because logically, the chances of the British overpowering the French are low, because they have already lost a large amount of troops, and they don't seem to be as well trained as the French.
(I don't think trying to win the war by force is a good idea, because training soldiers takes time. The British could approve the Albany plan of Union thus uniting the colonies. If the colonies unite then their combined fighting force could be formidable. This combined with the British forces could be enough to overcome the French. 
2. The British could take a risky gamble by going directly for Canada and attacking the French Lands there. This would mean sending a majority of the army to attack the base and then go down the base to attack other areas. This way, they will be more equipped against the French, both physically and strategically.
