No, America is not the perfect democracy. Even though it is much more efficient compared to other countries, it is far from perfect. It has a limited participation in voting, and a lack of competition. Many potential voters sometimes feel that there are not enough choices, and therefore don't vote. There is also a lack of competition, which also limits how many people come to vote.

America does not have the perfect democracy. There are conflicts within the government, decreasing voter turnouts, and there are many people who do not want to be affiliated with a political party. These are all signs that our democracy is not as perfect as many people think it is. The American citizens do not fully have all the power, which is another reason why our democracy is not perfect.

America is not the perfect democracy The way we count votes with the electoral college is flawed, the entry fee to run for president might be what's stopping a potential great leader from becoming president. Instead we have Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as our choices. So no, America is not the perfect democracy.

America is not the perfect democracy. In a democracy, the people are supposed to hold all of the power. Although, it is clear in America that this is not the case. Many people are not voting, and it is hard for anyone to gain support who does not have money or the ability to gain support even if they want to. The people are supposed to come together, but it seems as if everyone is just going against each other when we are supposed to be compromising.

America is a perfect democracy. A democracy is a type of government in which the citizens hold the power. In America we elect our officials and vote for our laws. Even though not that many people vote, it still creates a perfect democracy because the people have the right not to vote. While many of our freedoms contradict our beliefs and values of America and how it should be viewed and respected, they are still our freedoms.

As a whole, America is not the perfect democracy. First of all, American citizens have a lower voting turnout than other democracies do, and there are major differences in beliefs between those who vote and those who do not. Secondly, it is very expensive to even run as a presidential candidate in America. Third, there is supposed to be some competition to the president because the power should be able to be revoked if the president is not doing a good job.

No I do not believe our democracy is perfect. We have many flaws just like every other country does. However, our country does not have rebellions raising up and overthrowing our government every other week. No instead we have small issues that are easy to fix. In the section we just read, L. Sandy Maisel listed just a few examples that are easy to fix that might just cause huge differences in our government and who we elect.

America is not a perfect democracy. The power is not entirely invested in the people. We vote for candidates, but the voice of the people is not entirely heard because of the electoral college. One candidate can have more votes, but lose the election.

America is not the perfect democracy. Not all of the power rests with the people, especially with the electoral college. Being able to vote for whoever you want is one thing America prides itself on, but our electoral system does not truly give all the power to the people. Many who are eligible to vote do not because they simply do not like the candidates. There are several flaws in our democracy, but a perfect democracy does not exist.

America is definitely not the perfect democracy. Yes it is very efficient, but there is many flaws. One of the things discussed was campaign discourse and media coverage of the campaign. It is said that critics claim that mass-media campaign coverage fails to provide citizens with adequate information for two reasons. For one, it doesn't cover campaigns extensively. Media campaign is mainly based on the bias of supporters and can really alter your thoughts based on false accusations.

America does not have a perfect democracy. A democracy is all about the people and wanting to help bring the people together to make the country better. Today America is not all about the people, everyone is worried about money and whether to pay for certain things. We don't open our eyes to actually look at what's around us, instead we worry about ourselves. To have that perfect democracy we can help others and work together, but that isn't always the case.

Different kinds of people have different number of voter turnouts. We have election laws set in place to try to reach a goal of a perfect democracy. Then, the section continues on to explain the basic issues of the campaign finance system with examples. Also, there is a lack of competition growing between parties. Competition is needed in a democracy.

America isn't the perfect democracy. Many people can easily point out the flaws with our government but giving a solution that will address those flaws without creating new ones is virtually impossible. A democracy is supposed to let the citizens be heard, but with today's presidential candidates, it's hard to have the people be heard. However, so many people have different ideas on how the country should be ran, its impossible to satisfy everyone.
