I went to see Mike Nielsen's exhibition and walked into each of the different spaces he created to feel the different elements, different facilities, smells and lights that brought me a different visual experience, and as I walked through each of his rooms, I felt like I had travelled to a different place, which allowed me to fully understand the different effects that different elements can bring to people visually and emotionally. Through this, I started to think about how to bring different feelings and experiences to the audience through design.

In the future, I will consider the natural elements and hope to use them in my design space.

3d modelling is not new to me, but these are elements I will consider how to present them in a large, bulky, blocky, complete, soft, geometric presentation, so when squeezing the 'hand' I pay attention to its shape, not wanting obvious joints and angles, considering the angle at which it loops. When squeezing the 'raindrops' and 'clouds' I considered their texture, I wanted it to show a little bit of texture, again blocky and blunt. The shape of the 'wings' I modelled on the wings of an angel, wrapped in a pose, and I wanted it to have a soft, warm feel to the design.

These are the other three sculptures that I have designed and will be placed in different locations in the mental health department so that their different sensory and visual expressions can soothe the patient on different levels and create a better experience. The large embracing hands are placed in the lobby of the centre to provide a sense of security and visual comfort to the patient upon entry. The hugging wings are placed at the top of the lobby so that if patients lie down to rest they do not just see an empty, silent ceiling, but these huge, guardian-like wings, which give them a sense of reassurance that they are being protected by nature. I have studied and used many natural elements in this project, as I believe that elements from nature can give patients a sense of calm, relaxation and soothe them. I designed the sculpture to give the patients a sense of protection from nature, to make them feel safe and calm, to calm their nerves and to let go of their anxiety and worries about the medical treatment.

I learned about semiotics, about the expressions of both genders, the different scenarios and cultural contexts in which symbols are created, and I learned about the symbolic expressions of both genders without any preconceived stereotypes.

I saw that Abbas Zahedi used the element of 'emergency exit', which was meant to be a warning, a reminder, an escape, an emphasis and an important message, including the white light through the green icon, which was very prominent and eye-catching, and I thought it was worthwhile for me to learn from this expression, which made me think about how my expression should be presented to activate the audience's attention.

This is the development of all my ideas, and this whole process can be seen in the fact that I started by researching the most common iconography of women with dresses, and found that I used the element of the dress as long as it was used to express women regardless of age, and then I developed the design of diverse images of women, from the styling of hair to the different figures, through a variety of clothes (very feminine, unisex) and muscles and body hair, postures and movements. I wanted to express that whatever gender is exclusive, in my design expression I wanted it to be de- contextualised, that it could appear on anyone of any gender, not just one of them. There are more idea development drafts in the blog, I had many other ideas like revolving doors, playing cards, blocks, nesting dolls before I chose the box as a way to express myself, these are all possibilities I had designed. I chose the box because I used it to represent today's society. Each of the diverse female icons standing in the box represents a real and diverse woman in our reality, and I designed the cut-out icons on the box.I thought about using the chromosomes or sex symbols that I learned during the preliminary research, but in the end I wanted to use the female icon of the dress, which is the most common icon we use nowadays, as a skeleton, which represents the stereotype of women that still exists in today's society. You can also see the many measurements I took to make the box more accurate and to allow each of the female icons to stand in the box.

I love exploring the workshops at our school because not
only do they make my projects more layered, expressive and creative, they
allow my projects to be completed through my hands-on work, and each
time I go through a new workshop I learn a new skill that I can use in my future work and consider the different visual effects that can be achieved using the different workshops that I know about.

the blue, red and green lines represent the different types of cuts, internal, external and sculpted, I considered the elements that needed to be sculpted and the

thickness of the lines , as I had drawn a lot of lines to design these figures , I had to keep them to the external outline and sculpted lines and remove the excess lines, this was still a lot of work

I chose wood panels, red, blue, green, orange and white transparent acrylic as the cutting material. Because of the different thicknesses of each material, the width of the standing jacks I designed also had to be measured with precise data.

I had the measurements ready and when I got to the workshop the instructor told me that there was a machine here, a CNC cutter that could make the box I wanted, She taught me to draw in AI as the CNC machine also needed a drawing plate for cutting.

After cutting I had to saw each
board myself, which was quite
a lot of work, and I needed to
know how to sand the boards to
make them smooth all around.

In Ana Carolina Cunha's research, I liked the way she presented her work, she used stop-motion animation, she took a lot of pictures to show each movement, she invited the children to play and participate in her work and recorded it on video, this act of letting the children (the audience) turn in random groups, this experimentation, it made me learn about this way of recording, this form of presentation, letting the audience enter into the work and participate and experiment, making the work recreate, it helped me a lot, it made me think about the form of presentation, I really want to try this experimental way of communicating with the audience.

Through my research into measurement, I wanted to explore what measurement
is, what we can measure and what can be measured. From these questions I learnt
that measurement can be of all kinds of objects, even invisible things such as
emotions, relationships, memories, moods and so on.

Idea Development

In idea development I am inspired by my intimate relationships, my friends, close friends, lovers, family, ordinary friends, strangers, I think of these relationships and I give them a clear place in my mind, a place that is distant from me and I find that the more intimate the relationship the more we overlap with each other, the greater the bond. Once this intimacy is broken or lost, I feel hollowed out, the parts of me that overlap with you disappear. Based on this I designed a cone and 6-8 balls as a visualisation device to express 'distance', the audience can position the balls in any way they want to express the distance, I guess it is also a measurement, a way of measuring the relationship, a form of distance. I drew diagrams, measured distances, considered how to place or hold them, how to express them and how to use them before I started.

I tried to make my own large vertebrae, the plan was to make a large vertebrae out of sticks and clay and then take it to 3dworkshop for scanning but the plan to scan failed because I didn't anticipate that the clay would be too dry and crack the next day, it was just an attempt at my idea development but it was important so I rethought the material, the volume, weight.

I still used my most familiar 3d modelling to complete the device, for this kind of modelling that requires very precise data I used shapr3d, I made an attempt to print it out first and it worked very well, but it was still not perfect at the cone connection, so I modified it so that there was an interface in the middle to assemble, the size of the ball I also had to make it more I also made the size of the ball smaller, because I wanted to reflect the connection at the closest distance, the closest relationship, the overlap is very large.

Plastic Workshop

In the process of making this plastic film, I was
thinking about the subsequent forms of expression,
including why I wanted to make it, why I wanted
to participate in the plastic workshop, and what it could do for my work. I wanted to present it in the form of a filmed video, the film as a medium to carry the 3d model, but also as part of the distance installation I was creating, I wanted to use it to be experimental, experiential, and its presence allowed my installation to develop as a playful, experiential 'tool' rather than just an installation to be placed there as installation, plastic film. This journey has refined my work, given it more layers, allowed me to achieve more possibilities as I dug deeper and kept exploring how it could become fuller, how it could work, I considered how to experiment, how experimentation could manifest.
