The Renaissance: Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. (All of these men except Mozart were outstanding artists, painters, and sculptors. Mozart however, was a very skilled composer.)

The Protestant Reformation: Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Wolfgang Fabricius Capito (Martin Luther protested the Roman Catholic Church with his 95 theses, John Calvin was an influential French theologian, and I chose Capito because his name sounded cool.)

The Scientific Revolution: Galileo Galilee, Francis Bacon, Anton Van Leeuwenhoek, Nicolaus Copernicus, and Johannes Kepler (Galileo's most notable contributions were improving the telescope, discovering Jupiter's moons and declaring the universe is heliocentric. Francis Bacon helped create the scientific method. Leeuwenhoek first discovered single cell organisms. Copernicus also declared the universe was heliocentric. Johannes Kepler discovered planetary motion.)

The Enlightenment: John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, Rene Descartes, and Sir Isaac Newton (John Lock is seen as the father of liberalism. Rene Descartes is the father of western philosophy because western philosophers were extremely influenced by his work. Isaac Newton's most important contribution was discovering gravity and his creation of many other important scientific theories and laws.)
