In The beginning when julia was walking through the streets to get him those were more of establishing shots so that the viewer could understand what type of career she was doing but also how well off she was on her own.

Most of the time you could see how clear the expression of Julia’s face was  during the duration of the movie. Ironically Tau does not have a face and was included  in the close up shots as well.

When tau and Julia talked there was no need for it but to be fair you would never have known if he made an expression but tau is mostly portrayed by action and tone.  Alex and the board members were to show emotion and the outcome of the conversation and ame thing with julia and alex having a conversation.

As an artificial intelligence based on the emotions of people he has no real mission other than to ask do everything that Alex ( his creator) asks for him. Tau in this case was generally treated as an artificial slave,in this movie he literally did everything but when certain commands ( important points in the movie ) were not followed his memories ( data) was erased from Tau and everytime alex would try to erase tau’s memories, Tau would quite literally try to beg and plead for that not to happen but Alex tried to act as a slave master and continued to punish him. Everytime the memories were erased you would hear the beginning of a sad song in which would not only tug at the heartstrings but would be interrupted by what appears to be painful screaming by Tau. This process of Tau helping julia would hurt him, and because he was based off of human emotions and almost the same sense then he would also feel pain whenever the house or himself took damage.  He became more human in the eyes of the viewer, literally one could say he was more human than alex. ]]> 2019-03-19 16:39:20 UTC https://padlet.com/jconley19/2tkwr1qxq6m7/wish/342961190 jconley19 https://padlet.com/jconley19/2tkwr1qxq6m7/wish/342962981 She was a thief that had to make a living by stealing from people in nightclubs and this was not a good outcome. When she was kidnapped she met other test subjects in a prison like cell and this became an issue when julia led the other test subjects out of the cell but then the others were killed by aries ( a robot tau controls). She was to blame for their deaths but way after the death of her fellow escapes she is continually tortured by alex.  She uses her cunning in certain movies to not only befriend tau but also to fight off her kidnapper alex in certain points of the movie. The problem was that she had to use tau to her advantage but this doesn’t work well for the both of them. • When the two test subjects more killed the music became more sinister as the robot aries killed them brutally
• When Julia tried to seduce alex in order to kill him the music started off as provocative before she picked up the knife the music then became a mixture of sinister/mixed with the typical action music to show a fight between them.
• Pretty much the music for the music too two tones, one being action filled or sinister to show the thriller side of the movie  and etc. 
• I forgot to mention when tau had his memories erased and the actions julia did before had a sad music behind them and continue to be presented in such a way and etc.
