Sierra noticed travis and mini-travis coming over by her to ask her a question, to see which one is correct. Travis was correct, and also very amazed how smart she is, and where she'd learn all this stuff. Sierra was surprised, because she didn't think that Travis would think that a nature freak was cool, and that knowing all the useless stuff was awesome. 
2/3. A trait for Sierra would probably have to be more confident, open-minded, and mature. Why I think that Sierra is more confident, open-minded, and mature, because in the beginning of the story she wasn't very confident in herself, and was giving herself a hard time about it.
