The Shang Dynasty created writing for their culture. The Chinese script is already in use during this time period.

Zhou Dynasty: 1045-256 BCE

End of the Spring and Autumn period (481 BCE)

Spring and Autumn is called the Eastern Zhou. During this period the Chinese didn't really follow the kings rules. during this period many of the Lords conquered each other.

Warring States Period: 700-221 BCE

There were seven major states left in the empire ( 475)

They would fight each other until there was on left. when it was towards the end of the period the leader Qin Shi Huang, conquierd 6 other states.

Confucianism and Daoism Developed: 500 BCE

Confucius came up with ways that people should behave and live(551 BCE)

Confucius did write down any of his reinforcements, but the people who followed him wrote them down. Him teaching helped people respect others, and show the important quality's of a person.

Legalism Developed: 250 BCE

First Emperor Qin was a legalist ( in the start of the legalism)

Emperor Qin was the first legalist. he accomplished so many amounts of change. he was very successful. he made a system with weights and measures.

Qin Dynasty: 221-210 BCE

Qin was the first man to control all of China ( 221 BCE)

Qin died from natural causes. He was known as the first emperor of China and the name known as "China" stuck.

Han Dynasty: 206 BCE-220 CE

During the han dynasty the people of China lived in cities. If you were rich life was even better because you would live in a house with good carpet and good designs. The rich also wore silk robes.
