Bare with me.

When the rain falls, I think that it might be running away from something. You know when you're just so sad but you try to hold it in? When you just don't know if you can keep going feeling how you're feeling. Eventually, you just break and explode and the sadness just pours out of you like a torrent. I think the rain is just the clouds' way of telling us that it's had enough.

There's only so dark a cloud can get. The dark skies might just be a cry for help, don't you think? How long can a cloud become sad, dark, and depressed before finally telling us how they feel through the tears, through the screams of thunder and through the silent shouts of lightning.

But back to the rain. What about the rain? What if all the rain knew was that it was falling, not realizing that they are falling from sad, angry clouds? Not realizing that when they left, they were helping the clouds to feel better? What if when the rain fell, they didn't know that they were falling just to splat onto the ground, pounding into other raindrops, making the ground wet, funning down dykes and streaming down streams, running through the rivers, and occupying the oceans just to be called back to the clouds that let them go in the first place?

The very thing the clouds let go when life gets dark are what they reach back out for when the sun is shining.

What does that mean for us?

He stretched me clear across the legs of the chair. It felt good to stretch. So good. The lights went off.

The first night was so lonely. I couldn't see a thing. All I could feel was the cool air from the HVAC blowing over me. In the morning, he returned and the lights became bright.

Small feet. Little legs erupted into the room and weight plopped above my head.

Boing! Boing!

What was that??! The feet just ke--BOING--pt pounding down on my h--BOING--ead and my chin hit the--BOING--ground. What is this personal pergatory??! Why would--BOING--anyone do this to a stretchy band?

I hate this.
