If a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child needs to express themself or their frustration, that child need their language (if exposed early) to do so. However, if there's no way for that child to express themself, it may cause that child to feel overwhelm and can activate their body's alarm system which causes stress. In severe situations, when there's no caring adult and communication, it can lead to a life-long consequences such as toxic stress.
