We dump our wastewater untreated into lakes and rivers, killing wildlife and contaminating our own drinking supplies. We practice unsustainable farming, fundamentally altering entire ecosystems. And we dump millions of tons of plastic into our oceans every year, threatening wildlife and fragile marine habitats.While some pollutants affect only one of those spaces, others — like waste — can impact air, soil and freshwater, as well as our oceans and coasts.Between 1970 and 2000, the amount of waste generated per person every year almost doubled. This rate will continue to grow unless we take steps to stop creating waste — and that's the key.   • Stop smoking or at least follow the “No Smoking” sign at the restricted area.
  • Keep your car properly maintained to keep it in a good running condition to avoid smoke release.
  • Have a proper waste disposable system especially for poisonous wastes.  
  • Take care of your pets and their waste.
  • Create a green environment by planting new trees.

  • Avoid plastics by reducing, reusing and recycling
  • Improve water efficiency by using water efficient toilet or running a washing machine only when fully loaded.
  • Reduce burning fossil fuel because the pollutants can cause acid rain that ends up polluting waterways and harming humans and wildlife.
  • Running taps known to be the largest source of water pollution that is why we have to stop it so that we can save the water for other necessary use.

Adverse air quality can kill many organisms including humans if the level of the pollutant in air exceeds certain acceptable levels. Ozone pollution causes difficulty in breathing and can be a cause of many respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, throat inflammation, chest pain, and congestion. Water pollution which is caused by various toxic industrial wastes and people utilizing river water for improper reasons in an improper way causes approximately 14,000 deaths per day, mostly due to contamination of drinking water by untreated sewage in developing countries through the other cause is also prominent yet not fatal. It has been estimated that about 700 million people in Indian do not have an access to a proper toilet, and about 1,000 Indian children die of diarrhoea every day. The water of rivers and seas is being constantly polluted all over the world by various dangerous chemical and biological wastes. Various industries tend to discharge very harmful wastewaters into many rivers and sea thereby polluting them chemically. The water of the Ganges River has become extremely polluted and contains all sorts of dangerous bacteria because of biological wastes, so it is not the only industrialization that can be blamed for this. It is really very strange that a large number of the Indians regards this water as holy and still goes on polluting it. Some people even drink this water for salvation.
