These include...</div><div><br></div><div>Bipolar I Disorder- Manic episodes usually are at least 7 days. The symptoms are usually so bad that the person has to go to the hospital. A person with this will also have depressive episodes that usually last around 2 weeks. You can also have manic and depressive episodes at the same time.</div><div><br></div><div>Bipolar II Disorder- Consists of depressive episodes and hypomanic episodes but does not consist of the manic episodes like mentioned above.</div><div><br></div><div>Cyclothymic Disorder- Consists of periods of hypomanic symptoms and depressive symptoms that last for at least 2 years.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Medication- Forms of medication in order to deal with the syptoms of bipolar disorder include mood stabilizers, antidepressents, and antipsychotics. Mood stabalizers are used to treat manic episodes, antidepressents are used to treat depressive episodes, and antipsychotics are used to treat mood episode symptoms. According to <a href="http://www.psycom.net">www.psycom.net</a>, it is important to try out different medication s in order to find the one that is right for you.</div><div><br></div><div>Psychotherepy- This is when the patient talks to a couselor or psychiatrist.This presents the patient with the opportunity to cope and to come up with strategies in order to deal with bipolar disorder.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Outpatient Treatment: These are day programs, often individually or with a group, used as an intervention. This provides both medical and peer support for the patient. This is also used for medication education as well as syptom managment, and substance abuse recovery.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Inpatient Treatment: This is when the patient is placed in a facility or hospital when their mood is unstable or they are experiencing suicidal thoughts. With this, the mood is stabalized in order to move onto outpatient treatment.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

I wanted to educate myself even more on what it is, how it effects the person, the causes, and the treatment. I believe that with this knowledge that I now have, I am now able to better understand those with bipolar disorder and can understand how they feel as well as how to help them. </div>]]></description>
