Page design is referring to the lay outing of the newspaper page which is also known as page make-up. Based on the broadsheet news below, it was designed with 5-column grid which is less than with the common used in broadsheet grid. This broadsheet also contains 3 stories and included a picture to capture interest and highlight the story.

From my viewpoint, this broadsheet also applying basic design principles which is the strongest story goes at the top and the lead story will have the biggest headline as what we can see at the page design to telling the reader this story is important or special, this what we call gives a visual emphasis. Overall of the design is look good with keeping all stories in rectangular design and some air between paragraphs to avoid the news from looking mess. 

But I think it will be more attractive if the page designer put a mugshot photo at the “Setiausaha Kesihatan Trump Letak Jawatan” news, so that it will attract some readers to read the story. 

 

  I had choose Metro Newspaper because in my personal opinion this page of Metro is very interesting by using tabloid grid. There were 4 stories covered at this page. All of the stories there were put photos and headlines. Beside that, it has 5 column formats and the 4 modular design consisted 4 stories. It also has dominant image. The page arrangement used rectangular and horizontal units of stories. This Newspaper used the butting headlines which is consist difference styles of headlines, fonts or sizes, that all from me.
