https://padlet.com/KristofVanGrysperre/About A native of Belgium with roots in France, the artistic director of Angels Vocal Art in Los Angeles, California, Kristof Van Grysperre holds dual concert diplomas in piano and chamber music from the Royal Conservatories of Ghent and Liège in Belgium. As a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Grant, he perfected his training at the University of Southern California (USC) where he earned a doctor of musical arts and two master of music degrees with major fields in orchestra conducting and keyboard collaborative arts and with minor concentrations in musicology, choral conducting, and opera conducting. Over the course of his career, Kristof Van Grysperre has conducted many operas, ranging from Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Consul to Leonard Bernstein’s Candide. He is also an accomplished pianist and vocal coach. Besides his private vocal studio in Pasadena, CA, he has given master classes and coached singers at organizations such as the Aspen Opera Theater Center, Classical Singer Convention, Orange County School of the Arts and the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra. He taught at USC, the Baltimore Opera Studio and the California Conducting Workshop. He is also a frequent judicator for various vocal competitions.
