A lot of people don't believe in climate change but I think that climate change is a very real problem because the evidence proves it all. After watching many movies and clips of people talking about the issue, things like more natural disasters or more invasive species cannot be blamed on nature. The climate of the Earth is gradually rising and it's no surprise that people around the world are being affected (specifically areas near the coast). Things like hurricanes and typhoons are becoming more frequent because of changes in climate in the oceans. An example is the many hurricanes, tropical storms and cyclones happening in modern day. In the 1970s, the number of hurricanes, tropical storms and cyclones barely went pass 15 except a couple of times. In the 1980s - 1990s, the numbers more than doubled, to a point where there could be 55 of these natural disasters in one just year. In 2005, there were 81 of these disasters happening. People who don't believe in climate change could say, "Oh, it was just hurricane season and we were unlucky". But over the recent decade, there have been plenty of storms and hurricane that have formed well before or after the seasons start. Many hurricanes have formed earlier than predicted, and become much, much stronger than they were supposed to be. To add to that, the amount of invasive species in the world are rapidly increasing. It is scientifically proven that because of the warming climate many species are moving to different areas. The heat allows most animals to move closer to the poles to find more food. This can destroy ecosystems and the food chain in all areas, affecting the biodiversity. Climate change is the result of more carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere because of human activity, increasing the greenhouse gases which in the end make the Earth gradually increase in heat. The earths climate changes through out the years. But some key evidence that climate change is real and happening is global temperature rise. This is happening when we trap carbon dioxide in our atmosphere this causes temperature rise global. Also the 5 warmest days were all taken after 2010. The second reason why climate change is real is because warming oceans. The oceans have absorbed heat from climate change and has warmed up many degrees. The third reason is Shrinking ice sheets and glacier retreat. This is when ice sheets and glaciers are decreasing in mass and turning in to streams through the ices sheets. This last reason that I think climate change is real is sea levels rising. The sea level has risen 8 inch's in the past years and if this keeps happening places like New York will one day be underwater. So with all this information I do believe climate change is real and is affecting our world.

Climate change is affecting our planet heavily and making life harder for not only humans but animals and other living species. For example the climate is affecting the weather in places like Greenland because the ice glaciers are melting and stopping the polar bears from living a normal life. Climate change is also real because a couple months ago in April it snowed and it snowed enough to have a snow day at school. Climate is also making our summer days hotter than ever. Sure some people can say well its the summer its supposed to be hot but is was 40 degrees outside and 50 in our classroom. Scientist have also noticed that the amount of natural disasters that have been happening in the past 10 years such as tsunamis, tornadoes ,hurricanes etc. Thats why i think climate change is real.

climate change is a real issue in this century. Many people use oil, gas and fossil fuels to start up their car, heat up our homes and other uses but its not the best way to save the environment. All these chemicals are going into the air and destroying the ozone layer and the mighty glaciers in Greenland, and Antarctica. Many people still don't believe in this. All they care about is money. There are animals and people passing away because of this global issue. Polar bears are endangered due to lack of ice in the ocean and these mighty animals are dead of drowning and starvation. Climate Change is a big issue in the world and it´s only going to get worse. This is manly because we use products such as fossil fuels, oil and natural gases all to do basic human needs like provide heat for your home gas for your car and many more things. For example the shipping industry can emit over 150,000 tons of co2. Also the co2 that we generate doesn´t just affect us in Canada it can affect other parts of the world to. For example there are many glaciers in glacier national park in America that have thawed out due to climate change, and scientists say that in a few decades the reaming 25 glaciers will be gone in a few decades. I believe that climate change is real, and it is changing every day. Since our world's temperature is rising everyday, it affects nature. The hotter it is, the more water will be taken from the soil, and the glaciers up north will melt. Al Gore did a good job showing to people why climate change is real, and why we need to take action before anything gets worse. He started by teaching us about why our earth's temperature is rising. Our earth's temperature is rising mainly because of human activity. Us humans create so many gases with all of our factories, and our cars. These gases trap the suns heat inside of the atmosphere and it continues to make the climate warmer.

If climate change is not real, how would one explain the glaciers melting, the increase in droughts, forest fires and hurricanes, the water levels rising up, and the tree line going further up. The glaciers melting is affecting life there, and is increasing water levels. In cities near the coast, there is a lot of flooding because of the rising water levels, and people have had to permanently move homes. There are polar bears that are dying because they have to swim non stop to find ice. With the heat rising, it is taking moisture out of the ground. There are farms being ruined, animals dying, people dying of thirst, and it is because of climate change. Forest fires are also increasing because of the dry temperature and are not being put out by the rain.

Since climate change is real, we need to do things about it. Although it may be expensive and we may feel as if we can do nothing about it, we need to help. This is the world that we will be living in, there is hope for helping it but we need to take action. Right now, there are probably many people dying from the heat, animals dying because of their destroyed habitat, people evacuating from another hurricane, flooding everywhere along the coasts, and our leaders are just ignoring it. There are people claiming that climate change is not real, and get so defensive about claiming it is not. My question for them is, where is your proof? Explain why the earth is getting hotter then. My belief in climate change made me more aware of how our earth is being treated, and how we need to help make a positive change.

I believe that climate change is real. After watching a few debates and movies about climate change I truly know and believe that climate change is real. Glaciers are slowly starting to melt and animals such as polar bears and penguins who live in the Arctic, or where there is ice and glaciers are starting to suffer and die because they have no more snow and ice to stand on and create their habitat. If you take a look at how many hurricanes and natural disasters there are nowadays, this is all a result of climate change and how our humanity is starting to destroy earth. The more carbon dioxide and gases that is released into the air, the more it pollutes the earth and causes climate change. In conclusion, I do believe that climate change is real, it is happening, and it is affecting not only us humans, but the animals and creatures on our planet.

Climate change is a very large problem and is affecting many places in the world. After watching all of the debates and movies on climate change, I strongly believe that it is a growing problem. Because of climate change, we are seeing an increase in the intensity and frequency of natural disasters. For example, there are many more hurricanes, floods, droughts, and more. Glaciers are slowly melting away which causes the water level to increase drastically, that cause those floods. The oceans are getting warmer which increases the amount and intensity of hurricanes, especially on the coastal parts of the world. The moisture gets absorbed out of the ground which causes these large droughts.
In conclusion, I think that climate change is one of the largest problems in the world and we have to act quickly to stop it, or at least slow it down. There are many ways to limit the spread of Co2 in the atmosphere. Some of them include walking or biking to a place instead of driving, limiting the amount of greenhouse gases emitting to the air, and more. All of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is causing all of these negative changes. If we try to limit the emission of carbon dioxide, we could possibly stop climate change.

After watching ,an inconvenient truth and its sequel and witnessing firsthand the amounts of evidence that prove climate change is real yet some people think it is not real and keep denying it. There is evidence around every corner. Now storms are getting worse, ice is melting. Here is some photographic evidence. You can see the Upsala glacier (Argentina)in 1928 and 2004. That is about 14 years ago. Storms are getting worse than ever before because they are passing over warmer water making them bigger. Hurricane Katrina was one of the worst storms to hit U.S.A killing 1833 people in 2005 13 years ago.

in my mind i believe that climate change is real. there are many new weather phenomenons that have never ocoured in the past century. today we are seeing examples of extreme weather patterns like flash floods,tsunamis,earthquakes, and tornadoes like never before. last year natural disasters have made 306 billion dollers in damage. currently we are about to havethe worst hurricane on record.every year our natural disasters are getting worse due to all the polution we are putting in our atmosphere. Climate change is real , it is the biggest problem facing humanity. I know this because not only have scientists confirmed it, we see it everyday of our life´s for example: increasing storms, increasing temperatures, ice melting in Greenland and other naturally cold places.Some people like President Trump deny the fact that climate change is real and its caused by humans but if we continue to do what we are doing and cause and let green house gases into our atmosphere all the ice will melt and they will be continuous hurricanes and tornadoes and other storms. Once all that ice melts it will flow into our oceans and temperatures will rise and so will ocean levels causing increasing floods.All of this is not normal and if we keep treating it like it is the number of animals we will lose (from the cold climate ,such as polar bears) will be unimaginable, also the number of storms will go up immensely and crop fields will die becuase of too much rain or to little rain in different parts of the world. Yes I think climate change is real. After watching several videos all the facts add up. It's currently the biggest problem facing humanity. 90% of scientists in the world confirm that in the past couple decades humans are having a massive effect on the climate. I know this because in the past couple decades the weather has been extreme, glaciers are melting faster than ever, volcanoes have been erupting, and weather has been getting hotter EVERYWHERE, not just the south. Hurricanes have been coming in one after the other and some of the largest storms EVER have been happening in this century. This is happening because of all the oil and gas that we are producing for cars, planes etc. This is why I think climate change is real.

I do think that climate change is real because we watched a bunch of videos based upon it and things that shouldn't be happening happened already.The one thing i don't get is why are people hiding from the fact climate change is happening quickly? why can't people all around the world help our environment and help slow down climate change. They should be thinking of there kids future, there grand kids future and people, instead of making more pollution and denying that there doing nothing how about we work together to make a humongous change in the world and generations to come. I'm happy that the countries you less expect are doing more things to help our environment, well us the more known countries are denying that were making it worse. I believe that climate change is real. Not many people believe or accept the fact that climate change does exist. But the evidence is present.
For example, glaciers in the arctic are melting. Around 1980, the Arctic was as large as 8 million square kilometers. In 2011, studies show that the Arctic reduced it's size to 4.5 million square kilometers. It is still shrinking. Shrinking sea ice is destroying polar bear habitat. Causing them to starve due to lack of prey, drown, trying to swim from glacier to glacier and decreased rates of reproduction.

Climate change is real and there are facts that prove it. Some people may argue that there is no such thing as climate change but I believe that there is. After watching the movies and many videos, I learned so many things that I didn’t know about our earth. In the first movie Al Gore shared many predictions proved by scientists, that over the years sea levels will rise, there will be many more hurricanes and natural disasters and ice caps will melt leaving many rivers and lots of water in the antarctic. He predicted that in a about 15-20 years, New York grounds will be underwater and the sea level will rise so much covering many parts of the United States. In the second movie he explained how there have already been many floods in New York because of the rising of sea level and that scientists predictions are right and if they continue to be rights we will be left with no land. Scientists have proven that because of co2 and human pollution the ozone layer is getting thicker and trapping in to much heat that we don’t need. Many people will say this is not true but then what is the reason for the melting ice caps? The ice caps are melting faster than they have ever melted before causing rivers and pools of water in the middle of the arctic. With there being no ice caps, polar bears are struggling to find food and ice to lay on. Since 2006 when Al Gore stated that there will be more and more hurricanes over the years, there have been numerous hurricanes ranging from category 4 or 5. Because the ozone layer is so thick the oceans are becoming warmer and when cold and warm water mix it causes the hurricane and the warmer the water the worse the hurricane. That is why hurricanes are occurring more often and becoming categories 4 and 5. I believe humans are the cause of climate change and pollution caused by humans is hurting our world. There are so many facts proving that climate change is real and that’s why I believe climate change is happening today.
