They will be displayed in the classroom. The expectations will be used as a reference so students have the knowledge of what is expected of them; they will be held accountable to these standards; and they should be thoughtful when making choices and taking action. The aim is to have the students begin with a clear understanding of what behaviors are intended for the classroom. I will use a systemic approach to teaching the standards. I am defining behaviors, consistently reinforcing expectations, monitoring student actions, and correcting students as needed. I will make it a common practice for me to acknowledge students for following the appropriate behaviors in class.
