1: I'm late, I'm late , I'm late"
2:"I'm late"
The white rabbit was ironically written as a parody to Alice herself. He is a contrast of her youth and her lack of attention to time. Actually more so he is a satire. A satire of youth in general. When we are young we are never conscience of time. the rabbit is overly aware of it, it is apart of our lives but a ruler of his.

People who tend to smoke or drink often tend to act childish. The caterpillar repeats himself to Alice and asks the same questions over and over again. He does not have a clear purpose and seems to be trying to play with Alice on who can act the most stupid and childish. People who drink and smoke often lose their mindset and act like children but once they are intoxicated, they return back to their normal state of mind.
Bernie Sanders:
Bernie Sanders wants to make a difference in society yet he needs to think logically. He wants to provide a bunch of free stuff to the American people but that is going down the communist road. Money would lose a lot of value in America and the government would be able to control the people a lot easier especially if the economy took a big hit.
Essay prompt:
what are some similarities and differences of the characters in Alice in Wonderland and how do they all relate to Alice?

1. “‘Serpent!’ Screamed the Pigeon.
‘I’m not a serpent!’ Said Alice indignantly.”
2. “She went on growing, and growing, and very soon had to kneel down on the floor.”
Alice herself is a satire through the entire novel. Different aspects of her are exaggerated, such as when she’s mistaken for a serpent when her neck was long. This can help show, due to the Pigeons lack of knowledge, how Alice may be perceived to the other characters in Wonderland. The other instance was when she was growing inside of the rabbits house. The creatures such as the rabbit are generally fearful of larger things, and Alice became a fear for them within a matter of seconds.

Celebrity Satire:
Generally, any celebrity with many controversies would be easy for someone to create a satirical image of. For example, Jeffree Star has had numerous scandals, and people right now may show him with a lot of money (makeup launch), but heartbroken and alone in a large house (breakup with Nate).

Essay Prompt:
There are many different characters in Alice in Wonderland that can represent steps in Alice’s adventure to grow up. Choose at least 3 characters to show how Alice matures through the novel.

Quotes:
1. "Off with her head! Off-"
2. "She's in prison... fetch her here."
Explanation:
- The Queen is a representation of satire. She shows the political satire within Wonderland and how she has the authority to punish everyone. The Queen sentences death upon the victims without having an explanation come from them. This is a representation of how people with high authority rule their kingdoms/countries, they have no shame for the way they treat their people.. as long as they're happy with themselves. The Queen has a role of leadership and severely shows it within the eyes of all of her people.
Famous person comparison:
- The Queen is like Queen Elizabeth because they both have high power over their "country" but the Queen(from Alice in Wonderland) herself abuses this power by killing everyone who disobeys her.
Essay prompt:
- Write an essay about how the Queen from Alice in Wonderland abuses her power and how her people are "mad"with the way things are dealt with in the society.

Quotes:
1.) “Why is a raven like a writing-desk?”

2.) "If you knew Time as well as I do," said the Hatter, "you wouldn’t talk about wasting it. It’s him."
Explanation:
The book Alice in Wonderland itself is considered a satire because it represents the Victorian mentality, and the classification of the social classes and introducing mad characters (like the Mad Hatter) in order to underline some details in the historical and social scenery. The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland actually represented a person suffering from dementia. This syndrome often accompanied people, who worked in British facilities; where hats were manufactured. Mercury from the felt hats would accumulate in workers to the point of causing mental problems. In other words, the Mad Hatter represented the environmental dangers that faced many British workers.
The Mad Hatter can also represent the pure madness of Wonderland. He is actually the only one in the book that has "mad" in their name.
Example:
Any high-ranking celebrity nowadays like Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Elon Musk, etc., can define social status, and at some point in time, everyone has a mental break, especially when the spotlight shines on you. This makes a great sattire through the Mad Hatter's character.
Essay Topic:
"In Alice In Wonderland, how does the Mad Hatter represent/symbolize the madness that surrounds Alice not only in Wonderland, but in the real world too?

"I wish I hadn't cried so much!" said Alice, as she swam about, trying to find her way out. "I shall be punished for it now, I suppose , by being drowned in my own tears! That will be a queer thing, to be sure! However, everything is queer to-day."
EXPLANATION:
Alice as an overall character is "satire". She's really mature for her age. In her dream filled with "adult" figures, she's the only normal one rather than the characters are yet so childish. She's only 7 years old and acts more accordingly than the other characters that mope around. She's a very emotional person but hard body as well. She does't have too much personality because the author wants us to see "Wonderland" looking through her eyes. Her list of virtues have a few characteristics that relate to her such as curiosity and courage.
She's related to a celebrity such as Jojo Siwa because Jojo is so childish and she'll never grow up. She's mature when she's not on camera, but she's childish when Youtubeing bc she's dang near a young adult and acts like a child, which portrays to most of the characters in the story.

The way that she solves her problems is doing away with peoples heads and killing them. That's why when she's mad people already know she's going to say "off with her head". They also used this to represent in a way the way people used to rule their kingdoms.
Like for example: Queen Victoria this story is based on her. For only being 7 years old, she is consistently being reminded about "growing up" and "shrinking down", not only physical, but mentally. Alice encounters with other characters our moments of either her changing both physically and mentally. Alice is consistently out of place as her definition of maturity is different from Wonderland. The satire is a response on maturity. Alice events of growth and decay are very exaggerated, as they use even use physical appearances changes to emphasize the idea. Alice sometimes put herself above others, and claims she is more "mature", but ironically, that's what makes her less mature.

Example:
Any young social media star, such as Jojo Siwa, Charli Damelio, etc. are great examples of who have tons of attention at such at young age that they feel the need to feel older than who they really are.

Quotes:
1) "It's the thing Mock Turtle Soup is made from." - the Queen
2) "'Once,' said the Mock Turtle at last, with a deep sigh, 'I was a real Turtle.'"
Explanation:
The Mock Turtle is a satire meant to be a form of comedy and light humor. The light humor, however, is presented in a dark fashion to add to the theme of insanity in the book. The character represents the transformation from the old-fashioned turtle soup to the imitation mock turtle soup. The soup uses calf's head or calf's foot as a cheaper alternative to turtles, hence why the Mock Turtle has a cow's head and feet. The use of this character is an example of a satire, but not for the purpose of ridicule. The purpose of the character is to add odd humor to a classic idea.
Media Satire:
An example of this would be the comparison of political figures such as Trump to an animal such as a bull, for his short temper and rash behavior.
Essay Prompt:
Using the events and characters in the book,

'Of course not,'Alice replied very readily : 'but that ’s because it stays the same year for such a long time together.” 'Which is just the case with mine,' said the Hatter. "
2. “Not at first, perhaps,” said the Hatter: “but you could keep it to half-past one as long as you liked.” “ Is that the way you manage ?” Alice asked. The Hatter shook his head mournfully. “Not I!” he replied. “We quarreled last March—— just before he went mad, you know——” (pointing with his teaspoon at the March Hare,) “
The hatter is more of a satire because he is not in response to anything, he is simply just a representation of the environment in Wonderland. How he is so focused on his own idea and character.

She has this hierarchy authority over all the characters in Alice in wonderland and she feels like she can slander everyone. She's really ruthless and nonchalant about everything. When The Queen says, "Off with their heads!", she uses that phrase to solve her problems such as cutting their head off if they disobey and or disrespect her. The Queen usually represents the "English" authority (people say she's based off of Queen Victoria) and how they tend to jump to conclusions rather than solving them. The Queen uses her authority to determine how things work in "Wonderland".
Celebrities:
6ix9ine is a satirical biased person. The Queen of Hearts has a relation to 6ix9ine childish, arrogant and demanding self.

Explanation: The Mad Hatter is a representation of a Satire. The reason being is because his persona, he is described as mad and frustrates Alice during tea- time. The Historical context behind this would date back to the 19th century when hats were the talk of the town. It symbolized social status, the hat makers were taking a big health risk in producing those wonderful head piece. In creating those hats they would use mercury based compound that due to the exposion of the compound they would produce many side effects such as memory loss, terrible mood swings, slurred speech, tremors, and neurological problems.
Example: Some people like the hatter, once they break they can be really difficult to be put back together. In this case, Lindsay Lohan would be a perfect example because she has been battling substanse abuse since 2007.
Essay Prompt: How can the Historical context of the novel, be used to potray real-world scenarios/ Problems
