Prue's Condition

The patient, Prue, over the course of several months has been dealing with pain in the neck and the back along with stiffness, loss of feeling, and movement in several of her limbs, such as legs and arms. This has affected multiple of her daily activities and has stopped her from doing many of the things she loves. Since then she Prue has been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, a common ailment found in aging people that wears down bones in the back, causing pain from affected nerves. After taking treatments recommended from her doctor, improvement has been little to none and she was eventually referred to a rheumatologist

A cerebrospinal fluid leak (CSF) is when you leak the fluid surrounding your brain and spinal cord. CSF is vital to how your brain and spinal cord work, protecting and cushioning them from outside forces. The most likely lab test to help is a beta-2 transferrin test. This test looks for tau, a protein found in CSF but not in nasal mucus. Another possible test is a glucose test, as CSF has about the same amount of glucose as your blood, while nasal mucus has little to no glucose.

In order for her to recover she would have to stay on the medication assigned and also work out her neck with the exercises recommended to her. She would also have to rest her neck as well. But as long as she is on the treatment assigned to her she will heal and get better

Prue's Condition 2

After Prue’s visit to an arthritis and inflammation specialist, she was able to be diagnosed using MRI and X-Rays, a common Arthritis in the neck and loss of cerebral fluid, a fluid located in the neck and spine that cushions the brain and nerves.
