I chose the song,¨Power Trip¨ by Yeat because within the song, I feel that there is a story of A War Within. Through my interpretation, I see a mindset where power, regret, paranoia, and self-destruction all collide. I feel as if his 2093 version of himself is questioning himself of his own reality even though he is aware that something is off with an inevitable future. In my opinion of the song, I feel a more emotion heavy understanding than a textual understanding because of the surreal and scattered structure. Personally, I chose this specific song because it is one of my favorite songs on the album and I see many decipherable verses, almost treating it like a poem. - Raihan

It is significant because it explains the difference between societal expectations and who she really is from the inside.

The way the poem s written creates a powerful message and feeling within the writing, and interests me in how poets can write their poems to get a message across.

In poems or songs I think the author would use helpful literary devices like imagery and symbolism. The author can use imagery by writing different lines and quotes which paint a different picture for everyone's imagination. The author can use symbolism by having different symbols which add to the central idea of the poem/song. These symbols can have different meanings and help readers create connections.
