Summary why the Articles Of Confederation failed:

The Articles Of Confederation failed, so it had some strengths but plenty weaknesses, first I'm going to state some of the postitives to the articles. One positive is the congress could print money, but a negative to that is they could also borrow money from the states. On the other hand another positive is they could settle conflicts between states. This would help bring peace. Another Strength is they could declare war and peace. Another Strength is the Articles protected the liberties of people. Now I'm going to explain the plenty of weaknesses the Articles had. One weakness is the government had no army. The government was not getting payed and could not afford to pay for an army. Another weakness is the government was one single branch which made the government more likely to become a tyranny. Another weakness is most of the power was held to the states, which made it hard for congress to take action in certain events even though they could settle conflicts between the states. A major weakness was no taxes. Without taxes the government had no money for congress they could not do basic needs for the government. The last and final weakness that's aware is the government had no President or National Court System. Without this they could not enforce or declare certain laws.
