Just people need to commit to things and work on music outside of class definitely more sectionals and I think that students should communicate a lot more

next year, id like to see more practice on the music itself because that was an issue and sometimes sectionals weren't enough. however i also wish more people would practice marching and take responsibility for the commitment to marching band.

I believe we should start with sectionals at the very start so that individuals can practice with others in order to help them. I would like to have more shows as well.

During band camp, we should work more on our marching with recordings of the show music.

Get people to actually be committed to the band, to make our show more visually appealing since I felt, aside from the intro, that it was a little dry and was just a regular movement.

I think we should definitely add maybe 2 more shows? not too much for those that burn out quicker, but I think having just 5 didn’t really give us enough time to really get our drill down ORRR we could make band camp longer (not time per day, but rather for maybe more than just 4-5 days). I also think maybe a bigger podium to make it easier to see the drum major while we’re marching.

My suggestions for marching band next year, is to either have longer rehearsals, more practice on marching instead of activity, maybe longer or more days for band camp, and make it mandatory or required to attend band camp for people who are truly committed to marching band

If 5 minutes late you have to run another lap unless you told the teacher you were gunna be late or a valid excuse.
To make people play there parts do make music.
Adding movement to make it more lively.

Make people account for religious matters and other personal matters and if they can’t do certain days to say it in advance and to say what they think or forever stay quiet and not say anything about it. Also make people learn their left and right and stuff like that like people who aren’t able to dance get their left and right confused all the time and they basically have two left feet

I feel like we should work on the basics more, especially for newcomers. I feel like little time was spent working the basics of marching, especially when we demonstrated that we weren't that good at it. I feel there should also really be some more structure around sectionals; most of my section's were spent unproductively because we hadn't any idea on how to improve ourselves. Attendance was also really low on sectionals; my section didn't have a single session with perfect attendance this eeason.

From my experience, during my freshman year in band camp, we focused heavily on the show music instead of pep, and it helped a lot in the long run. I think that would benefit us more, too!
