- events where foreigners and singaporeans can bond with each other such as community centre events, GRC/Residents corner events , block parties
- publicity campaigns such as short videos to show foreign workers and singaporeans getting along together and helping each other. (propaganda)

one strategy to encourage singaporeans to be open to accepting foreigners and immigrants into our society is by having events where foreigners and singaporeans can bond together. this helps the foreigners and singaporeans to interact with each other and have a deeper understanding which will curb the negative sentiments and they will be more open to foreigners. for example , neighbourhood carnivals , block parties, events in residents corner or community club can be held to bring foreigners and singaporeans come together. thus , this encourages singaporeans to be open to immigrants because they will have a more positive mindset and not be anti-immigrant.

One of the strategies is to have a social experiment of us Singaporean being the foreigners for a day such as going through the work that they do and the entertainment industry can spread the awareness of the experiment through social media or shows.
Or
Us being in the foreigners shoes of us being smelly and if someone would say to us being smelly, how would we feel.

New:
One way to encourage Singaporeans to be open to accepting foreigners and immigrants into our society is to hold a social experiment of Singaporeans being the foreigners for a day and posting it through social medias to reach more them. (POINT) For instance , by holding the social experiment in different kind of jobs that foreigners do such as being a construction worker or cleaners.
How Singaporean say mean comments. For example "wah they damn smelly leh" to the foreigners and how they feel about those mean comments. To really understand how they feel, we should be in their "shoes" and work our heart out and and sweat under the hot sun and then stand in the MRT and having people to say that I am smelly. (EVIDENCE)Having this experiment and posting it in social medias , this will make Singaporeans empathize them and not having a negative mindset towards the foreigners. By doing this experiment , this will encourage singaporeans to be more open to foreigners. (ELABORATION)Therefore , this will also interact with foreigners more which will make them learn to be more understanding towards them.(LINK)

One strategy to encourage Singaporeans to be open is to set up a campaign on respecting and appreciating foreign workers, and promote the campaign through social media. For example, Singaporeans can hold concerts for the foreigners to show off their talents after they work, and want to relax, that can be held fortnightly, so that Singaporeans can come together to know more about the foreigners. Having a neighbourhood cook-off can also help foreigners show off their cooking skills, and allow participants to try out cuisines from other cultures and get to know more about them, and bond. By doing so, Singaporeans will get to know more about the foreigner's routines, and get to know them better so that they will be more open and positive towards the foreigners, and thus, creating good relationships between foreigners and locals. Hence, this helps encourage Singaporeans to be open to accepting foreigners and immigrants in Singapore

One way to encourage singaporeans to be open to accepting foreigners and immigrants into our society is to create publicity campaigns conducted by the government that focuses on the advantages and appreciation of foreign workers and immigrants (point). These campaigns can conduct speeches in school to address issues such as the anti-immigrant sentiment that have gripped some Singaporeans, harming Singapore's economy and reputation. These campaigns will educate students about the need to accept sime inconveniences for greater good. Incorporating such a segment will provide a safe platform for students to discuss such issues and ultimately understand that it would benefit everyone in the long run. Such knowledge can then be shared with family members by the students. (Example+ elaboration) With such campaigns, singaporeans would then be able to appreciate, accept and understand the rationale of having foreigners and immigrants in our society. The community club can organise an event there during Labour Day and invite the foreigners and immigrants together with the singaporean resident around the neighbourhood then all of them will interact and eat food which the singaporeans and immigrants prepare.By doing so, the government will be able to encourage singaporeans to be more open and accept foreigners and immigrants into our society.
