After reviewing your Notes To Self, what items stand out to you?

Wow! Where do I even start! I have gathered so many amazing tools and resources that I can now share with my staff. Some of the top take aways from my notes are all of the websites, people, and groups I can add to my PLN. I love the SAMR model and will be sharing it with my staff. We are a full PL school in 2nd-5th grade with WIN groups in K-1. It is imperative we move from just enhancing to transforming. I have decided that I will be adding a website/person/group weekly to our team meetings so they can also start building their PLN! I have also gathered great ideas to help facilitators incorporate exit tickets whether digital or paper. I have a meeting set with our tech integrationist to share more and see how we can work together to share this information with the staff!

Which concepts will be easiest for you to implement?

The concepts I really feel facilitators will grab and use without hesitation is digital game based learning, communication websites/apps where learners can collaborate, and also moving to more choice boards to allow voice and choice!

Which concepts will be the hardest to implement?

The hardest part of learning all of this awesome information is finding a way to share it without overwhelming my staff. I plan to use the 5 to try like we had throughout the course. We have weekly team meetings that I facilitate and I think it is an awesome way to start conversations and also get a feel of who on the team may have used some of the websites/apps. I can choose 5 each month and see who is willing to try one or more and then provide feedback to the group. I was super excited to learn about HyperDocs- This is a fun way to create an interactive lesson plan! I like that it allows the learners to take control of their learning journey and how quickly they move through it.

PLN development: what was your most valuable PLN discovery?

It was hard to choose just one valuable piece as this course has opened a whole new world to me to see all of the incredible resources and people that are out there! Honestly this course had the most valuable piece for technology by having all of the boards so nicely organized with different apps aligned to a title. I have spent time sharing it with my tech integrationist (many were new to him-woohoo I call that a win!) and with my principal. She is super excited to read the book Chart a New course!

My PLN now includes:
Twitter-
Danny Steele @steelethoughts. I love that he challenges educators to change the way they think about education and teacher to student interactions.

@inform_ed- Right in the bio it caught my eye! --> InformED features interesting conversations about all aspects of #education and #edtech.

Instagram-Namasteinschools (Social Emotional Learning Tips)

Catlin Tucker is a fav! I follow her on Twitter and have been reading her books since our last course! I love her thoughts, resources and ideas! I now have my principal reading her books!
