Prohibition as known as the Noble Experiment was a federal law to prohibit the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages across the United States from 1920 to 1933. The law intended to regulate people's emotions and behavior but unfortunately had the unplanned consequence of causing a rise in organized crime and crime rates during the ban. The police dismissed mobsters, gangster behavior, and a lot of deaths because they were getting paid to stay quiet.

He was the most notorious crime boss of the time and made a significant portion of his fortune from creating and selling alcohol through illegal means. Speakeasies at the time were nightclubs or bars selling illegal alcohol and smuggling, and also at this time, the well-known drink moonshine was created same with the bathtub gin.

Secondly, there was an increase in crimes and violence because law enforcement was being bribed. The government also made brewing and distilling illegal, which resulted in the expansion of state and federal government with more laws and practices put in place. To add on, new forms of activity for men and women were created, while also suppressing some troubling issues with immigration, and issues surrounding the working class. There was also an increase in the smuggling of illegal products and the selling of alcohol.

One interesting fact about Prohibition was that it ended a year before the Great Depression because Franklin D. Roosevelt realized its impact on the economy. Another interesting fact was it was not illegal to consume alcohol as long as it was not intoxicating and it was not being made. Also, this movement helped women gain a little more power before women's suffrage. And lastly, around 10,000 people died before the repeal of Prohibition because they were consuming anything that had alcohol in it even if it was not healthy. They even used alcohol as medicine for experiments.
