Prohibition as known as the Noble Experiment was a federal law to prohibit the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages across the United States from 1920 to 1933. The law intended to regulate people's emotions and behavior but unfortunately had the unplanned consequence of causing a rise in organized crime and crime rates during the ban. The police dismissed mobsters, gangster behavior, and a lot of deaths because they were getting paid to stay quiet.

Due to the aggressive behavior of men who consumed alcohol, these were the consequences. Women led the protests, fights, and overall movement because they were mistreated, beaten, and had to take on more jobs and roles to support their families due to the overconsumption of alcohol by their husbands. They faced a lot of financial issues leading to poverty and wanted to ban sales and the importing and shipping of alcohol into America.

Most of the prohibition's main goals during the 1920s were to ban selling alcohol and making it due to its over-consumption and behavioral issues but also they wanted to reduce organized crime, corruption, and mortality rates. Some of its other main focuses on why it was enforced were to solve social problems, reduce taxes raised by prisons and poorhouses which throughout the decade did decline, and improve America's health and hygiene.

After the 18th amendment was enforced organized crime, mortality, corruption, and some of their other reasons to do the prohibition skyrocketed because men wanted to have alcohol when they were at work but women and children were getting beaten as well and a lot of drunken accidents would occur. During the Prohibition era, the illegal selling and production of alcohol, or bootlegging, became rampant.

He was the most notorious crime boss of the time and made a significant portion of his fortune from creating and selling alcohol through illegal means. Speakeasies at the time were nightclubs or bars selling illegal alcohol and smuggling, and also at this time, the well-known drink moonshine was created same with the bathtub gin.

After the Prohibition Act, America faced several impacts. Firstly, it had to rely more on tax revenue because it decreased during the Prohibition Act, costing it 11 million in lost tax revenue. Secondly, there was an increase in crimes and violence because law enforcement was being bribed. The government also made brewing and distilling illegal, which resulted in the expansion of state and federal government with more laws and practices put in place. To add on, new forms of activity for men and women were created, while also suppressing some troubling issues with immigration, and issues surrounding the working class. There was also an increase in the smuggling of illegal products and the selling of alcohol.

Prohibition proved to be highly detrimental to the American economy and overall government, having a huge impact on jobs and materials. Overall, the Prohibition Movement/Act was not as successful as they would have hoped for, causing a lot of damage to law enforcement, the government, economy, while highlighting several necessary changes that needed to be made to get America back on track. Some of the critical issues that needed to be addressed were violence, corruption, bribery, and behavioral issues.

One interesting fact about Prohibition was that it ended a year before the Great Depression because Franklin D. Roosevelt realized its impact on the economy. Another interesting fact was it was not illegal to consume alcohol as long as it was not intoxicating and it was not being made. Also, this movement helped women gain a little more power before women's suffrage. And lastly, around 10,000 people died before the repeal of Prohibition because they were consuming anything that had alcohol in it even if it was not healthy. They even used alcohol as medicine for experiments.
