Every huddle and learning session that I had attended were worth remembering for me. Not only did I gain valuable insights which changed my way of seeing things, but also, I was able to incorporate them into my personal life.

What is the importance of Electoral Unit for you?
In my opinion, Electoral Unit is essential in harnessing the general voice’s power to vote. Every people has the ability to change our nation for the better by voting, and this unit ensures this happens through the encouragement of the masses in political participation.

I learned a lot in my limited time in TKP Internship but the most notable ones are to step up, uplift our own advocacies, be aware of what our nation is facing, and to stand firm for what is right with genuine integrity.

Why did you join the Team Kiko Internship? 
The reasons why I joined the Team Kiko Internship are the following: growth, advocacy and impact. Through these motivations, I am in deep hopes that I would be able to learn from my fellow interns and inspire them and the future interns to make a difference in the society.

What is your favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern.
My favorite activity as an Intern would be the tasks that we had to accomplish as a sub-group (Faith) because through this, I was able to know more people on a deeper level as they also shared their insights on various matters.

What is the importance of communication for you.
Communication for me is very important especially in today's time wherein everything is becoming more complex. I believe that we need to communicate in the most efficient and effective manner in order to minimize if not eliminate misunderstandings. I also see it as a useful tool in order to empower others to be of service to the Filipino people.

What did you learn from this internship?
I learned that even during these times of uncertainties, we can still create change as long as we are united as one: (1) in advocating what we truly believe in and (2) in doing what we think is best for our countrymen.

One of the reasons why I joined the Team Kiko Internship is to dig deeper into my “whys.” As a Political Science major, one of my goals is to not just learn more about politics but to realize and understand what I can do more to be of help to my fellow Filipinos as I aspire to be a lawyer in the future. I know that this internship will be a great opportunity and avenue for me to grow not just as an individual but also as a Filipino citizen - I know that I am capable to contribute more to our society and being involved in this experience would be a stepping stone for me to advocate for significant causes and fight for and with those who are neglected as Senator Kiko is one of my biggest inspirations as he fights for what is right and fighting for him would be of beneficial to my fellow countrymen. 

My memorable activity as an intern would be hosting the icebreaker for the Electoral Unit. Although it’s something that can be done by everyone, having the opportunity to do something fun for my internship knowing that I made people happy through me and my partner’s efforts makes it extra memorable for me besides the fact that hosting in front of people who I’m still unfamiliar with is a big challenge for me.

For me, electoral (helping out for elections) is important as this is the determining factor on the efforts that will be made by those who would volunteer in helping out the person that we’ll be campaigning for. This is a thankless job at the same time where we actually get the chance to fight for what or who we believe in through campaign efforts.

Besides learning about the working environment in an internship, this has opened my eyes more to what is happening in our society from the plenary learning sessions. I have realized more about how significant our role is as youth and that being young should never stop us from fighting for what we know is right and is needed by our fellow Filipinos so that we can take part in contributing to our society. This has also allowed me to grow in a way that it had allowed me to meet a lot of passionate individuals with the same vision and goal as me.

Why did you join the Team Kiko Internship?
I joined the Team Kiko Internship for the experience of working for a political body despite the current pandemic. I have always been interested with what goes in a political environment, and this interest grew when work was transferred to an online setup. Besides that, I joined the Team Kiko Internship because I believed that this opportunity will help me a grow as a woman of advocacy. My principles are in line with Senator Kiko's and I wanted to learn more from him and his people.
What is your favorite/most memorable activity as an intern?
My most memorable activity would be the preparation for the tasks for the Faith Sub-Unit. I was assigned to the Christian Group and I was tasked to make the survey (check post above this) and it was a really fun task since I worked with such great people.
What is the importance of electoral for you?
In a time where we are faced with the challenges of incompetent leaders, it is only right to help out the responsible ones. The electoral is very important as we are able to aid those who are not knowledgeable in regards to competent candidates. It is our job to educate those people in order to make the country have great leaders.
What did you learn from this internship?
This internship made me see the value of being politically aware and active. I've always been like this, but I have not really made an effort to reach out to the apolitical. This internship challenges me to help others see the importance of good governance and politics. All in all, I learned a lot and I'm grateful to have been a part of this group.

Why did you join the Team Kiko Internship?
I joined the Team Kiko Internship because I believe that joining this internship will be a great opportunity for me to learn more about myself, my goals, and my strengths. I can learn from other youths on handling a certain situation that can test my current knowledge.

What is your favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern? For me, the most unforgettable thing during the internship was organizing the cafe liberal and the webinar for LY. That I've learned so many things from other young people as well as the speaker we welcomed to our webinar.

What is the importance of (name of unit?:
Liberal Youth, in my opinion, represents the collective voices of youth from diverse backgrounds and cultures who are unified in their desire to achieve global equality and freedom. Even speaking up for a vision of a world in an environment that promotes injustice without motivation and support.

What did you learn from this internship?
This internship helps me improve crucial skills that I wouldn't be able to learn in a classroom. Multitasking, networking, learning to deal with diversity, and meeting deadlines are all skills I learned when working for someone else rather than in school. The most difficult aspect of my internship, in my opinion, was having to share my duties and organize my work with others. But I deal with it by listening to and collaborating with my team.

I joined the Team Kiko internship program due to my desire to further my experience and learning of being a global citizen. In addition, I also find this internship program truly beneficial to me since I was able to work with co-interns that had the same advocacies and ideals as mine. 

What is your favorite/most memorable activity as an intern?

My most memorable activity as an intern was being able to plan and execute events with my co-interns. It feels good to be in a work environment wherein we share fresh ideas that are aligned to our goals, know our certain strengths and weaknesses, and be able to improve and grow together as a team.

What is the importance of Liberal Youth for you?

Liberal Youth is important to me because it shares the same advocacies that I have as a global citizen. Its aim to educate others on freedom and human rights inspires me to do more even as a student. Being able to work with like-minded individuals is truly an honor. I hope that I may cross paths once again with Liberal Youth and my co interns.

What did you learn from this internship?

I learned two main things from this internship. First, I learned that what you give in to this internship (or anything else you exert effort for) is proportional to what you will receive. Throughout this internship, I can say that I truly learned a lot and this experience enhanced my global awareness even more. However, despite being able to learn a lot, I can say that I know I could have gotten more from this internship. Since we are facing various commitments during these hard times, I found it difficult to totally commit to the internship and obtain all the knowledge and experience I could have gotten. Second, I learned the importance of the each and every one’s contribution on educating the youth and our fellow countrymen. Everything around us is political, thus it is our duty to inspire, educate, and persuade others (apolitical and those with uneducated political views) to follow the path we are taking.

b.       What is your vision for the youth?

First, I would like to congratulate Senator Kiko Pangilinan and everyone involved in making this internship possible because this internship was truly a success wherein all of us were able to learn a lot from this. We were able to work with like-minded individuals in which we all were able to improve our strengths from this. 

As an intern, I would like to suggest that the Office of Senator Kiko Pangilinan attempt to work on a project dedicated to educate those that do not have similar views as us yet, particularly, the apolitical community. I suggest that instead of communicating or educating the apolitical community publicly (through comments/posts), we can create a webinar/workshop that aims to guide individuals that are not sure on what political views and ideals they have. With this, we would be able to target the apolitical community while continuously strengthening the Team Kiko interns to be better leaders for our future.   

I know that not everyone is able to receive this wonderful experience as we had. However, even though we cannot expand this internship to a great amount of individuals while maintaining its quality, I envision the Team Kiko Youth interns to be the ones that will expand this experience even through small actions. Being able to educate and inform one’s family, peers, colleagues, students, children, is already a big impact when all of us acts together. I hope puts this internship experience into practice, so that all of us will help build the youth for a brighter tomorrow.

I joined the internship because I want to put the theories that I learned as a Development Studies student into a political setting and I did! We were able to talk about the whole of the marginalized sector and able to learn more from people who has vast experiences

What is you favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern

The most memorable activity for me as an intern was the ice breaker which requires someone to sing and out of nowhere someone volunteered me and until today I don't know who that person was. Also, I would never forget meeting Sen. Pangilinan for the first time and the way he spoke you know he cared about this advocacies. Lastly, was when Sen. Hontiveros came to one of the talks who imparted so much knowledge about women that I’ll never forget 

The Electoral Unit is important because through here you’ll get to connect with the people that Sen. Pangilinan would be serving and its important to know what specifically each sector needs so that it can be properly addressed, which the Electoral Unit was able to do by making proposals. Furthermore we encourage people to exercise their right to vote and to thoroughly research about a candidate 

What I learn about this internship is that there is so much more to do, but more than that, it’s about what we, as individuals, are capable of. As an intern I might not have that grand of an impact to society but with this internship you'll realize that you can be part of real changes in society and the first thing to do is to start. My journey started when I sent my resume and although I have to balance this internship with orgs and acads, I never regretted it and I’m so happy that I joined

- Why did you join the Team Kiko Internship? I joined the TK internship to be politically “woke” since I used to be politically indifferent before. Luckily, joining this internship opened my eyes to so many things and it sparked nationalism within me.

- What is you favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern: My favorite activity as an intern was attending the Women in the Pandemic learning session. I look up to Sen. Risa and VP Leni a lot and they've empowered me to act on my advocacies.

-What is the importance of Electoral Organizing Unit for you. The Electoral Organizing Unit is important since this is a platform to showcase Sen. Kiko’s advocacies to the masses and sectors in an innovative and human-centered way such as through videos and apps. 

-What did you learn from this internship. I learned countless things from this internship, but the most important thing that I’ve realized is that there is still hope for the Philippines, and that is through us, the youth.

 I joined the Team Kiko internship because I wanted to improve my skillset and learn more about the tasks in a political office. I also wanted to experience being an intern for Team Kiko and try working with other people. 

What is you favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern?

My favorite activity as an intern would be organizing and attending events, especially our kapihan session. I loved how it is considered a safe space where everyone can share their ideas and views. It was a session where the participants engaged in healthy exchange of opinions and discussed different aspects of Gender Identity. 

What is the importance of Liberal Youth for you?

Liberal Youth is important because it encourages the youth to be engaged in current issues and help them be part of the solution. It is an organization that allows us to be heard and make a difference. 

 

I learned the importance of time-management and our role as youth in the country. The internship challenged me to manage my time well. It also taught me how important it is to be efficient in your work and to finish tasks on time. Through the different learning sessions as well as unit projects, I remembered just how much the youth can do and the reason why we need to do it. With numerous problems in our country that have yet to be solved, it is our role as the youth to shed light unto those issues, incite the country to help solve the problem, and induce change.

- I joined Team Kiko Internship because I want to know more about the different actions done inside of politics. Furthermore, as I want to serve others in every way I can, I know that this internship is a great opportunity for to enhance my understanding of the different aspects. 

What are you favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern

- Huddles and learning sessions! I learned a lot from the activities and talks!

What is the importance of the Electoral Organizing Unit for you. 

- For me, I believe that the Electoral Organizing Unit plays an important role in the organization as it helps in so many ways. With that, I think the importance of this unit is that we have a strong understanding for the communities and we build a power that the low-income communities hold. 

What did you learn from this internship

- I learned to that power can be a good or bad. And that our generation has the power to change the world for the better 🤩

I joined Team Kiko internship because I really wanted to use my spare time in making a difference. Even though I’m in my home, I wanted to do something and learn from different incredible people so that I can be a more transformative student leader.

I think that most memorable one would be doing the tasks with my co-interns, especially with Team Catholic, even though we had a short amount of time, we always delivered and everybody was just reliable and fun to be with. Aside from this, I really loved our learning sessions because I was able to learn a lot from amazing and phenomenal people who have already made their mark, which motivated to do the same.

I think electoral campaigning is very vital, especially with the upcoming elections, the people must know who to vote and who to trust, and that will only be possible if our leaders invest in effective and true electoral strategies that will showcase their advocacies and potentials

I learned that even though I’m just a student, I can do something for the country and for my fellow Filipinos, even in my own little way. I learned that it’s okay to be afraid during these uncertain times, but I should not give up and be a coward. I should always hope for the best, because hope can get me through anything and bring me wonders.

I joined the internship because I wanted to learn more about politics and the experiences that come with it. My best friend who is also part of the unit pushed me to sign up with her last minute (shoutout sayo Ashley Francisco) and I can confidently say that I do not regret taking the leap of faith with her. My end-goal was to gain more knowledge and skills that I can use once I graduate college, and I can truly say that I was able to achieve this goal.

My favorite activity as an intern was being the sub-unit representative for Team Faith in our video pitch. I enjoyed guiding and helping my fellow interns throughout the whole process. I also enjoyed hosting some ice breakers, which helped me develop my self-confidence and my communication skills.

I believe that the Electoral Organizing Unit is important because it is the key unit that is hands on when it comes to the real elections. This unit is able to help the interns grow individually by giving them tasks that will truly make use of their communication skills. With that, the unit is able to push the interns to do their best in everything they do which can be an asset once they step in the real world.

I learned how to take more risks and responsibilities through the internship. I was never one to take initiative in projects whenever no one would volunteer. The internship showed me that I do have my own capabilities that I can share with the people around me, such as leading and taking initiative . I am grateful for everything that I experienced as those situations truly pushed me to work harder and to not hold back my talents especially if they can be of good use as well to others.

I have always wanted to make a difference in our country, and I believe that Team Kiko provides that opportunity by letting our voices be heard, as well as inspiring us through the plenary learning sessions. I believe that having a bigger purpose for the work that we do simply makes work more enjoyable and purposeful. This experience enabled me to become a highly versatile, competent, and well-rounded person who takes pride in being able to contribute to the growth and development of our country.
What is your favorite/most memorable activity as an intern?
This internship is full of exciting journey, learnings, and opportunities that inspired me to become a better Filipino citizen. It is truly an experience that I will treasure forever, especially our learning session on National Situationer. It helped me understand the importance of being politically aware. 

The Electoral Organizing Unit has taught me a lot about my skill set and given me confidence in my own abilities. Every session, I learn something new that I will surely manage to put into actual application in all of my future challenges. I learned about how we could effectively encourage and inspire the youth to be involved in making a change in our country. What did you learn from this internship?

This Internship has been such a growing experience for me. I have gained knowledge on how we could contribute to the growth and development of our country. Not only did this internship shaped me into a better Filipino citizen, but it also made me see how crucial our role is as youth in achieving a better future for our country. Why did you join the Team Kiko Internship? :

 I joined this internship to learn and to serve the country. Also, to continue my passion in helping those who are in need. And I believe, this is a great opportunity and tool for me to continue what I love.

What is you favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern: 

Actually I love all the activities but my favorite ones are those meetings together with my team Catholic 💚 I enjoyed a lot, learned from them and build relationships as well.

What is the importance of Electoral Organizing Unit for you. : 

It is important because this unit helps and gives support to Sen. Kiko and also the interns of this unit encourage people especially the youth to register and vote wisely.  In this way, we can stand again to be a better country.

What did you learn from this internship: 

I learned a lot, from time management to setting priorities. I learned so much beyond the four corners of my room. I also spent my quarantine at home worthwhile.

Message to Sen. Kiko:

Hi po Senator! Sana po ay marami ka pang matulungan and sana ipagpatuloy mo pa rin ang laban! Madami kami naka supporta and willing to back up. And also, I want to take this opportunity na din to say thank you for this very great experience. I learned a lot and this internship made me realized I can do things pala and I can go out of my comfort zone. I did things na akala ko di ko kaya so thank you po talaga for this program. I have always seen my Facebook friends post about how they were an intern for the Office of Senator Kiko, and I would always be intrigued by it and interested to join as well. Although it was only this cycle when I finally decided that it was time for me to apply. Why I joined this internship you may ask? Well it’s really simple, I want to help out. Yes, I could have applied for any other organization or office and still be able to accomplish this, but for me, I had always been in admiration with the courage and competency that he has continued to exhibited as a public servant. He advocates for the rights and the welfare of those who are not really paid much attention to, and he really thinks about the needs of the people. I saw this internship as a great opportunity to work with like-minded individuals towards contributing to the common good.

I honestly cannot pick one specific moment, but my most memorable experience as an intern would have to be all of the meetings outside of the official ones. It was there where I was able to bond with and get to know my fellow interns and junior supervisors. Especially when the internship was nearing the end, it was there where I found more chances to talk to my fellow interns, and it was really fun meeting the people who were not part of my sub-unit.

The Electoral Organizing Unit is so important especially now that we are nearing the election season because we have the opportunity to aid him in his fight for re-election. As an intern of this unit, we think of campaign strategies that he may use to win, and in this cycle, we focused on trying to understand the labor and faith sector, as well as develop a gear that will be used by volunteers who want to support Senator Kiko as well. It is important that his ideas and principles remain in the senate, and that he continues to serve the people. 

This internship allowed me to grow as an individual, and as a member of society. All of the learning sessions and unit huddles were very insightful, and it gave me knowledge and understanding about topics, ones that I don’t I would have learned about anywhere else. This experience allowed me to take on a role as a leader, and entrusted me with so much responsibility. I felt guided all the way, and it made me feel at home despite the internship only being a month long. My time as an intern for Senator Kiko will always remain special to me and I will take all the knowledge I have learned everywhere I go.

   
What is the importance of Electoral Organizing Unit for you?
  Our unit encourage young people to contribute and think wisely especially now that something is happening and a lot of people are affected. This unit taught me that we are the start of change and we should start as early as now. 

What did you learn from this Internship?
  I really learned a lot of things from talks, sessions or just a simple huddle meeting. One thing that I can take and remember from this internship is when Senator Risa Hontiveros said that "okay lang matakot, huwag lang maduduwag" because of that I can now start to take risks and challenges without hesitation, just be confident and not be afraid to lose. I learn from my mistakes and I'll use this as my strength and be a better version of myself. 

 I joined the Team Kiko internship because I wanted to learn more. I also wanted to work with other people and larger my connection. 

What is you favorite/most memorable activity as an Intern?

My favorite activity as an intern is doing the content/s I feel like I am showcasing my talent in writing. 

What is the importance of Liberal Youth for you?

Liberal Youth is important to as it encourage the youth to be engaged in current issues and help us to voice out our thoughts and be part of the solution. It helps me boost my self confidence.

I learned the importance of time-management with the school works/responsibilities and intern's work/task. The internship challenged me to manage my time well. It make me realize  how much the youth can do. The internship allowed me to grow more, it allowed me to meet a lot of passionate young individual whom I share the same vision and goal.

* I joined Team Kiko Internship because I wanted to broaden my knowledge and skills, in the political and social sector. I wanted to know and learn how Team Kiko helps the community in different ways because they are great at it and I aspired to be a part of it. 

What is your favorite/most memorable activity as an intern? 

* The most memorable for me is our first Kapihan Session. It was fun and exciting, I learned a lot from the different perspectives of my co-interns regarding LGBTQIA+ and Gender Identity. Plus, it’s the first activity/session that we interns, gathered as one to talk about our opinions and experiences. 

* Liberal Youth is important for me because it is not just a platform for the youth. It is a safe space to broadcast our opinions and thoughts regarding different matters. It unites voices of individuals with advocacies and actions that influences youth to make a change and be the change the community needs. 

* I learned a lot. Not just from this internship but from my co-interns to my supervisors and Team Kiko. I learned that by speaking up your voice and adding action up to it you can influence/ inspire other people in social media to open their eyes, help the community and make a change for the nation. This internship did not just require us to work, it makes us give our all. This internship is a forum to fully, effectively deal with an issue that is important to us. We have to be authentic and willing to serve, in any capacity and in any circumstances.
