Make sure that you enjoy the experience. You'll want to put in all of your gifts so then the juniors can take away as much as they can. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable and yourself. They'll find comfort through your genuity.

Also, bro, even though you don't have a curfew just go to bed nice and timely cause you'll feel it if you don't.

Make sure to go on a night walk. It's very black and lowkey scary, but it's worth it.

I know you guys might be feeling nervous now that it's so close, but I really do recommend that you get vulnerable not just during your talks but also during the small groups, make that path for the juniors who might be feeling a little nervous to share or might want to act nonchalant during the small groups.

Have fun, and don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone, especially in times when you might be dancing or talking or just walking around meeting new people during karios.

It's going to get awkward standing there waiting for your opening son, but trust me, nobody is going to look at you weirdly.

This is an eventful retreat, so when/if you feel overwhelmed, make sure to communicate that and know we all care about your feelings. Make sure to set your alarms in the morning and to have fun little activities for the senior leaders and yourself; you get to have fun too! Have fun and know you'll be great!

Kairos is a very special moment that we all get to enjoy but a lot will be asked of you. Make sure you rest, you may think you can go to sleep early and get things done, but not everything will go according to plan. Also, make sure you have all your schoolwork together before leaving. A lot will be going with the flow, so make sure to keep a positive attitude for it all. Enjoy this time with your small group, the teachers, other senior leaders, and those outside of your group. Going up to give your talk may seem scary, but trust me, when you are up there, everything is okay, and you feel okay. You have also already built a community with others, whether it be the juniors, teachers, or other senior leaders, so there will always be a few people cheering you on and others for you. Present your true self to the juniors because they can feel when you are or aren't being authentic, and the more authentic you are with them, the more they will show their authentic selves to you and your group. I advised making and forming connections and friendships with all of your leaders. This will make forming the community with the juniors much better. Enjoy every moment with each other and have fun. Don't worry about your talks because you will have at least one person supporting you.

It will probably seem like alot of work but through it all , enjoy it . It will go by fast , remember to cherish every moment with your group . Not only that but with the leaders also on the retreat with you ! Be patient if your group doesn’t open right away , it takes time ! Overall just enjoy the experience and no matter how tempting it is to do homework , don’t . Also don’t be afraid to be vulnerable as well !

Cherish every moment you can while at Kairos because it goes by so fast. Make sure to get to know your group members and show them how loved and heard they are because they will remember that forever! I know it can be hard and stressful but it is so rewarding seeing the positive impact you make on these juniors lives. Remember to be proud of your story and your talk and do not be afraid of judgement. Remember to enjoy your time there and be vunerable!

My advice to you would be to be patient with your team but also be inclusive of everyone and welcome everyone. Some people may take longer to become more vulnerable but I recommend you to stay patient with them and include everyone so everyone feels more comfortable around each other. Also remember to be vulnerable as you set the example for the rest of your team so that they are able to feel more comfortable around you and the rest of their group as well.

I encourage you guys to not stay up to late. Instead go to sleep and have some time for yourself go outside or hangout with the juniors. Have fun in your small groups it’s okay to get out of topic after you’re done reflecting. Remember that silence in the first few days is okay, it takes time for the students to adjust and feel comfortable. Don’t stress about your talks you’re going to do amazing. Take some few deep breaths, drink water, go on a walk and be ready. -Marilyn Puente

First and foremost, enjoy all you can from kairos !! It is such a fun and loving experience, especially because you get to do it as a leader!! DONT STAY UP TOO LATE!! Although it’s really fun, make sure you get your rest!! Be patient with your group, they might not all open up right away and that’s okay! Enjoy your time with your group and your senior group because new friendships will be made!! Just enjoy the best you can, and not only make it a wonderful experience for your juniors but also for yourself !! Have fun and enjoy it the best you can !! :)).

I bet since your time at kairos you knew you wanted to lead when you are a senior. Congrats on being here!

I would say, do the best you can to organize yourself, get sleep, practice your talks, and help with activities. Make the juniors gather up together so there retreat is always remembered. Give it time for them to open up, lead your group and let them know you are there for them. Take pictures so many memories are created. Write them letters so they feel special and closer to you. Encourage them to see the mornings sunrise. Overall show them to see God in eachother. Don’t stress about your talk, it will come naturally, you know your story. Good luck kairos leader keep the legacy going.

Make sure that everyone in your group always participates, and if they need time, just come back to them, listen actively, and refrain from judgment. Take in as much as you can, because those kids will be tiring, even if they are amazing. Go over your talk, even though I didn't do that much. Be nice, lead by example, and encourage the kids if they don't want to participate at first. Also, eat a lot because it will be so good and will keep you going even when you're tired.

Keep in touch with your kids, as they will be your pride and joy in life, having been raised by you for a little while.

I know right now it can be a really stressful time, yet I would recommend taking this time to just relax and be a good leader to the juniors who are going on Kairos. Take this time off from school and focus on setting a good example. I would also recommend sleeping AND SLEEP ALOTT. Remember to be yourself and just have fun. You are doing this for the juniors, so make it fun.

Do your best don’t stress! Kairos is a lot more fun as a leader lol. I really enjoyed it and it gave me a new perspective of this retreat. Sleep a lot, don’t take it for granted. I am so proud of you guys for coming so far. Be open minded to talking to a lot of people but responsible of making sure you have space to breathe and rest on your own.

My advice to you would be to not put so much pressure on yourselves that goes for your talk and for small groups. Don’t worry about making your talk perfect just practice it and be proud of what you wrote, it will go the way it needs to go. For small groups they might not open up completely at first so don’t feel like it’s something you’re doing. Be the first to open up, show them what it looks like and they will do the same. Finally enjoy the retreat your not just a leader your also living the retreat one more time. Get to know the juniors outside your small group and the teachers. Truly enjoy every moment with your small group and try to make many memories. I hope you enjoy the retreat!

Don’t be afraid of silence. That silence gets them talking to break the awkwardness. Also if they aren’t speaking enough maybe put your ideas in. Don’t forget to also create a relationship with them, it becomes more personal for them in the future and gives them someone they can count on in school! If you’re vulnerable with them, they’ll reciprocate that energy. Have fun and be yourself!

Remember that you experienced Kairos so use the things you liked and things you wish would’ve gone differently in this Kairos. Don’t be afraid as well of getting vulnerable as they all need a leader and an exemplar of being vulnerable. Have an amazing time and remember that time at Kairos flies so enjoy every moments and be present in Gods time.

I can tell that you are probably really nervous right now, but don’t be. You were picked for a reason and you are going to do amazing. Your small group is going to love you and you’ll love them even if it doesn’t seem like it. Remember to get sleep try not to stay up late because me, Yara, Ashley, Julian, and Anahi did that almost every night… but have a lot of fun, not just with your senior leaders but with the juniors and even the teachers!

Keep in that you don’t have to be the perfect leader for the juniors, just be yourself and be OPEN. Don’t be scared or intimidated by them, you be as vulnerable as you can and they will reciprocate that back. You’ll do great and you will have an amazing time!!!
