         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Why is Jonas the only person who can lie?<br>- Why did all of Jonas’s friends feel awkward around him?<br>They were very awkward around Jonas when he gets his assignment and he goes to talk to his dad about the previous Receiver and how the last ones name was never to be talked about again, it’s a disgrace to mention it. But the person also went missing. Jonas only has one page with 8 rules for his assignment. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- This community probably takes place in the far future because Jonas and the old man were talking about older generations and how they had sunshine, snow, hills and sleds. If they don’t know what sunshine is then how do they see, is they’re community just a big inclosed area with artificial lighting?<br>Jonas goes to the room to start his training as The Receiver and he learns about some new relaxing things like snow and sunshine and some painful things like sunburn.</div>]]></description>

He complains about how everything is the same and how he wants to be able to have the choice of a red or a green tunic in the morning.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Jonas received the memory of flying in the air from being launched from the sled on the icy hill, he said it was so painful it was like a hatchet lodged in his leg that is on fire. Jonas is frightened by this memory and aches from the pain. Gabriel spends the night with Jonas and to make him fall asleep Jonas put his hand on his back and gave him the memory of the sailboat on the river. He decides not to tell the Giver about this.</div>]]></description>

Jonas learns about grandparents in the memory. Jonas asks his parents if they love him but they said it’s a meaningless word and how it shouldn’t be used. </div>]]></description>

It was time for the twin baby and he sees his father walk in, but then he takes a syringe and injects it into the baby’s forehead. He sees the baby and remembers what the same position the baby was doing and the bloody soldier on the battlefield, the baby’s dead. Jonas is upset that it’s his father who does this. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jonas was crying and sobbing because he was upset about his father but then he calms down and spends the night in the Annex room with the Giver. Jonas and the Giver create a plan for Jonas to escape in the middle of the night during the ceremony. Jonas wants the Giver to come with him but the Giver won’t come because he needs to train a new Receiver and then he will be released. The Giver tells Jonas that he wants to be with his daughter when this is all over, but Jonas didn’t know he had a daughter and the Giver said “Her name was Rosemary.” </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jonas goes through with the plan and takes Gabriel with him by mounting him in the baby seat on his fathers’ bike. As he leaves the community he is being very careful and he succeeded. As he was passing other communities his legs became more and more tired as he went further. He took a pit-stop and rested with Gabriel. He was cautious from the search planes when he was on the road and had to use his memories of snow to become cold because the planes have heat detection to look for warmth. As the days went on, fewer and fewer planes came by and after a long time none came at all.</div>]]></description>

Gabe cries that there’s a plane but it was just a bird, and he was amazed at the sight in person. He sees deers and even a fox but didn’t know what it was called. As the days went on he became starving and was starting to regret leaving but then thinking about what would’ve happene if he stayed. He started to fear that he couldn’t take care of Gabe. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jonas and Gabe are becoming weaker and colder. Jonas uses up all of his memories of sunshine and any type of heat to keep himself and Gabe warm. It starts to snow and they drop the bike because there was an impossible hill to clear. Jonas finally reaches the top of the hill with a numb body and surprisingly happy feelings. He sees the sled and quickly he thinks of his parents and friends and the Giver as he mounts the sled. He sees beautiful, colourful lights and hears music but it’s all behind him now, perhaps it was an echo. </div>]]></description>
