Kid Cudi also known as Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi was born on January 30, 1984, in Clevland, Ohio. He is the youngest of four kids. His mother was a choir teacher, and his father was a house painter, substitute teacher, and a World War ll Air Force veteran. Scott was such an artistic and expressive child. He was into music, art, and skateboarding. Scott's childhood heavily shaped the loss of his father to cancer when he was just 11 years old which shifted everything for him. This traumatic event left a deep emotional scar. Throughout his teens, he had moved around a lot and attended many high schools. After graduating, he tried college for awhile. At 19 years old, with nothing but a backpack and a pack of demo CD's, he moved to New York City with his uncle to pursue music. He worked at a BAPE store in New York City, where he ended up meeting Kanye West. Cudi played his music for Kanye West.
