Victor was born in Geneva and he had a very happy childhood. His mother wanted a daughter and so she adopted Elizabeth Lavenza from a very poor family. Victor and Elizabeth grew up as sister and brother. They had different interests:Victor was fascinated by chemistry while Elizabeth was fond of literature. After a long illness their mother died and Victor left to study at the university of Ingoldstadt. He studied chemistry and he wanted to discover the secret of life. He took parts of dead bodies and he built a huge human body. When the monster opened his eyes Victor was really scared. He escaped from the house and in the early morning he met Henry Clerval. Henry was a young man and he was Victor's best friend. Victor became very ill because of the monster and Henry took care of him. One day Victor received a terrible letter: it was from his father and it said that his younger brother William was dead. He wanted to return home immmediately. During his journey something happened: he saw the monster and at that moment he understood who William's murderer was. He arrived home and here he met his family: they were all very sad. Victor felt responsible but he couldn't say anything about the monster. The judge thought that Justine Moritz (William's nurse) was guilty. The punishment was death. After the trial Victor left to go to Chamonix. He climbed a glacier and here he found the monster who started telling him his story. He was refused by everyone even by the De Lacey's family and so he killed William to take his revenge on Victor. The monster asked Victor to create a female monster for him and Victor promised to do it. He went on a journey with Henry but then he moved to Scotland alone. He started working on the female monster but then he decided to destroy it. He got on a boat and he threw the parts of the female creature in the sea. Then he fell asleep and when he opened his eyes he was in Ireland. He was arrested for Henry's murder but after three months he was released. He returned to Switzerland and decided to marry Elizabeth. At their marriage night the monster killed Elizabeth. After this tragedy Victor's father died. Victor started following the monster northern and he met Robert who rescued him. He told him his story and after some days he died. When the monster found Victor, he had already died. The monster was surprised and felt sorry for everything, he didn't want to kill anyone more. He jumped out of the boat and he never came back.

In the first chapter Victor Frankenstein is on the ship headin to the North Pole and he tells his story to the exlorer Rbert Walton.
Frankestein lived in Geneva, in Switzerland, with his parents. When he was five years old, he went to Italy and there he met Elisabeth who was adopted by his family. When he  was seventeen, he went to study Chemistry at the University of Inglostadt in Germany.
Afeter his brither's death Victor returned to Geneva. He arrived to the Lake Geneva and the beautiful mountains surrounded him. A
In chapter five  and in chapter six the monster and Victor met in a hut on the mountain and the monster told Victor about his life and asked him to create a female moster for him. Victor returned to Geneva and he immidiately travelled to England with Henry. Then he went to the Orkneys island to create a wife for the monster. When he destroyed it he ran away from the monster and he took a boat but he fell asleep and the boat brought him to Ireland. He was arrested for Henry's murder and he stayed in prison for three months. 
Victor and Elizabeth got married in Geneva but soon after the monster killed Elizabeth. So he decided to chase the monster northern across the glaciers. Here he met Walton and told him his sad story.

She was Italian and she lived in the countryside with a family who took care of her because her parents died. Victor and Elizabeth grew up together and they had a very happy childhood. During these years they got really close and they knew each other more. Victor started feeling something for that girl and he took care of her. When Victor reached the age of seventeen, he moved to Inglostad to study the subject that he loved and he left Elizabeth at home. She wasn’t alone, she was with Vicor’s family, they had always been happy so she was fine. When he came back home things were different. His little brother died and everyone was sad, Elizabeth as well. Victor tried to bring happiness back to the family but, when someone so young and so close to you dies, it’s always difficult and hard to start again. Victor loved Elizabeth and decided to marry her, but at their wedding night Elizabeth was killed by the monster. In this book love is important and it's crucial for the development of the story. The monster decided to kill all the people Victor loved, beacause no one could love him. People have always judged him by his physical appearance, this pushed him to do extreme things.

When Victor was fifteen, he saw a lightning, it struck a tree in his garden and he was fascinated by the energy and the power of the nature. He decided to study Science in Ingolstadt in Germany. He went to university, he worked a lot, he wanted to discover the secret of life. He created a man using large parts of dead bodies and in the end he gave him life with energy. The nature has two faces. On one hand it helped Victor when he was sad and sick or worried. During his illness Victor and Henry spent their time walking in the countryside, breathing fresh air. This helped Victor to get well. On the other hand it was cruel and powerful and it created a strange and dark atmosphere throughout the story.

He was very angry with his creator and the other people because they hated him. He had thick black hair, white teeth, dry and yellow skin and very pale eyes. After he was created he escaped from the laboratory and went to the  forest. He went to a village, but the people attacked him with stones and he ran away.Then he found a hut and started living there. A very simple family. the De Lacey's lived in a hut in the same place. The monster started to help them, he cut the wood at nigt so hat no one could see him. One day he met Mr De Lacey, he was blind and he couldn't see him so wasn't scared and he talked to him but when his son and daughter arrived, they hit him and the monster escaped. The next day the family left the house and the monster decided to burn their house.Then he started looking for Victor, he was sad and desperate because no ne loved him. When he finally met Victor, he asked him for a female monster. Victor went far away in the Orkneys Isalnds to create it, but after he created it, he destroyed the female monster. The monstersaw everything and got really angry and decided totake his revenge on his creator. he killed his best friend Henry and his wife Elizabeth too.

At the begining he was happy but then he was scared because the monster was terrible and ugly. Victor became ill so Henry visited him and took care of him. Victor tried to make his life happy and he married Elizabeth. A terrible night Elizabeth went to bed and Victor heard a loud scream coming from her room. When Victor entered the room, he saw Elizabeth's dead body, the monster had killed her. Victor was very angry and he looked for the monster to take his revenge.

When Victor was five years old, he and his family went on holiday near the Lake of Como. Victor's mother visited the poor family and decided to adopt Elizabeth. The farmer and his wife agreed, because they wanted her to have a good life, so Elizabeth went to live with Victor's family. Everyone loved  her. Elizabeth was calm and happy. Victor fell in love with Elizabeth and they got married but the monster killed her.

Mary Shelly is the writer of Frankestein. She was born on the 3rd August 1797 in London. She was influenced by her father who was a philosopher. In 1814 she fell in love with the English poet Percy Shelly and in 1816 she married him. In the same year she went to Geneva with her husband, Lord Byron and John William Polidori. The idea of writng this book came out during a rainy night when these four people decided to challenge themselves in a writing competition: they had to write a horror story.  She spent some years in Italy with her husband, but when he died, she came back to England and she died on the 1st February 1851. Mary wrote another book but the most important one was Frankestein.
