In addition to membership on the city’s Housing Authority, Hospital Authority, and Zoning Board of Adjustment, Michael Russo is an accomplished physical therapist with more than 20 years’ experience in New Jersey. He is also a human resources associate with the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission. In addition, he has donated his expertise to organizations such as the Israeli Olympic ice dance and ice-skating teams.

In 2013, Dr. Russo founded the New Jersey Institute of Balance, where he treated concussions, dizziness, and back, shoulder, and neck pain. He has also practiced at several physical therapy and rehabilitation clinics, among them the Hoboken Physical Therapy and Wellness Center as the owner and clinical director.

Dr. Russo obtained his BS in biology at Stockton University in Pomona, New Jersey. He went on to earn his master’s degree in physical therapy from Rutgers University and a doctorate in that field from Utica University in New York. Active in sports and family life, he supports the Madeline Fiadini LoRe Foundation for Cancer Prevention.
