When dealing with education, there are two broad categories that the learning experience can fall under— academic and non-academic. The focus of this paper will be on the non-academic area of education, the biases that can adversely affect a student's learning, and how to improve on those areas. The paper has been split into teachers, administration, and parents to allow for more targeted interventions.

Teachers:
To address teacher biases, teachers would have to take Implicit Attitude Tests. Additionally, students' identities would be blinded as far as possible.

Admin:
School administrations should nudge students to make healthy choices by increasing increase the ease and convenience of selecting these food items. Also, extending lunch periods would reduce the pressure of time constraints for students when selecting food items in the cafeteria.

Parents:
To find an appropriate balance and level of engagement for parents, mandatory parent-teacher conferences at least once per quarter would be implemented and heightened involvement can also be incentivized through the creation of a parent perks program that rewards productive and useful participation. Parents would additionally be required to sign off on students’ homework at random intervals to ensure they are checking in on their child’s academic performance. On the other hand, the idea that education is multi-faceted with the inclusion of extracurricular activities would be reinforced with less emphasis on college placement at parent-teacher conferences.
