(All statistics confirmed by world bank)

Wealth inequality has grown significantly in the United States over the past 50 years

◆ The Gini coefficient, which measures inequality in income distribution, has kept rising in the United States. According to the World Bank, the U.S. Gini coefficient has gone up from 0.353 in 1974 to 0.415 in 2019 exceeding the alarming level at 0.4 indicating a large income gap, however it fell back to .397 in 2020. During the same period, other developed countries have largely kept their Gini coefficient below 0.35, or even 0.3 in some cases. (verified through world bank)

Factors of economic inequality

Prioritization of Marketalization and internationalization over equality

Partison conflict in the United States have caused most policies (especially those involving taxation) to be temporary and reversible, as a result, an economic system has not been in place long enough to de-accelerate the income inequality gap.

Union membership rate decreased from 23.8% to 10.3% in the past 54 years

Not only did the Covid-19 pandemic damage the middle and lower classes detrimentally but it was also a great time for wealthier individuals to invest in the failing economy, allowing them to profit off the economy starting back up again

Neural Networks are easier to program and much broader for uses however they are far less accurate.

MIXTURE OF EMPHASIS ON REASONING AND EMPHASIS ON LEARNING FROM BOTH

It is possible to find the balance between the two since our brain operates the same way: System 1 is statistically driven intuition and Sytem 2 is reasoning and deliberation

There is no current incentive to find this balance however in our society, capitalism is currently the only driving force behind the development of AI

New Governence: an International Agency for AI that is nonprofit, global, and neutral; similar to agencies created from the concern of Nuclear weapons.
