The signs and symptoms are;
- Itchy red rash and blisters
- Fever 
- Sickness 

Hand, foot and mouth- hand foot and mouth disease is a viral infection and a red rash/spots appear in the mouth on the tounge but also on the feet.
the signs and symptoms are;
- blisters
- fever
- feeling unwell
- sore throat
- loss of appatite 
- cough

Sickness and diahorea- this is very common but can spread easily.
The signs and symptoms are;
- vommiting
- fever
- stomache pains
- feeling unwell, tired

Measles- this is a viral infection caused by a virus but is very contagious
The signs and symptoms are;
- red, brown blotchy rash
- cold like symptoms 
- fever 

Tonsillits- this is a infection that makes the tonsils swell.

Hand, foot and mouth- the child will also need to be excluded from the setting with this illness until the blisters have scabbed up and if they have a fever wait until it settles. 

Sickness and diahorea- if a child gets this illness the child will have to be excluded from the setting until 48 hours after last vomit.

Measles- if a child has measles they will need to be excluded for at least 4 days after getting the rash.

Hand, foot and mouth- to treat this you can ensure the child is hydrated. also throat sprays and binjela to help with the pain. there is also medicens and pain killers if the child is old enough.

Sickness and dirrhorea- to treat this you need to keep the child hydrated and eating when possible. also lots of rest will help.

Measels- to help with measles you would need to drink lots of fluids and rest. also pain killers to help with the pain.

Tonsillits- to treat this you need to drink lots of fluids and use throat sprays to help with the pain. also eating cool or cold foods so the child can eat.

This  comes from female mosquitos and is in the blood of those infected. Even though this is not contagious it is very serious as it will cause sever discomfort and can cause death and comas. 
Another notifiable illnesses is food posioning this is because if the child has gotten this from the setting it would need to be investigated. but also it casue's a high fever and bloody diarrhoera. It also causes vommiting which makes it hard to keep liquids down. this is cased by uncooked food and can lead to kidney failure and dehydrated. this can lead to the child having to go to the hospital.
Menngitis is a notifiable illnesses as this is very serious and can lead to death this is beacause it leads the brain lining to become inflammed.

This will only be reported if it is a notifiable disease and the health protection team will need to know how serious the disease is. Also the symptoms will need to be known as they might be able to tell what the diseas is and how to treat and stop it from spreading if it is contagiuous.

If a child gets food posioning then ofsted and a child minder would need to know as it could effect more than one child. this will also need reporting within 14 days as it is very serious.

If the child has broken a bone, sever injuries, dislocated bones or has passed away within the setting ofsted will need know. This is because legally you have to report serious things like these and it is an offense if not reported. Also policies and procedures will need to be followed, for example a written record of the injury and a first aid box must be accesiable at all times so that a trained staff member could try manage the injury until help arrives. - Not eating as much or at all
- Sleeping more
- Needed comfort toys more than usal 
- Being quitter than usual ( not being intersted in activities they would usally like)
- needing more emotional support. 

An example of when medical intervention is needed is meningitis this is because it is life threaterning and can cause life long illnesses. this  would need to be acted on as soon as possible and the child would need to got to the hospital straight away or as soon as symptoms are noticed if early enough call a gp for advice. this is so that the child is safe and is treated as soon as possible as it could lead to death. 
Another example of when medical intervention is needed is if a child has fallen and hit their head. This could be if they're bleeding seriously. the setting would have to call 999 since the child would need medical attention. This would be to check there isn't any perminent damage and that the child can recover. But also so that the child is getting the help needed for their injury. The setting would call the parents after they have called for medical help. This is done so that the child is seen to first and all the help is given to them when needed. 
If a child has broken a bone during a setting they would also need to call for medical attention. This is done to ensure the child gets the right help.
