“Papa,” said Monica to her father, “Please get the sun for me!”
Papa got a firework. He carried the firework towards a very high mountain. Then Papa put on the big firework on the top of the very high mountain. Up and up and up he climbed.
Finally, Papa got to the sun.
“My daughter, Monica would like to play with you, but you are much too hot!” said Papa. 
“Every night I get a little cold. When I am just the right coldNESS, you can take me with you,” said the sun. 
Indeed, the sun got coldER and coldER and coldER. When the sun was just the right cold temperature, Papa took it. Down and down and down he climbed. 
“Here!” said Papa to Monica, “I have the sun for you.” 
Monica jumped and danced with the sun. She hugged the sun and threw it into the air. But the sun kept getting coldER and coldER and coldER. And finally, it disappeared altogether.
Then, one night, Monica saw a thin silver sliver of the sun reappear. Each night the sun grew and grew and grew until it reached its original temperature.
