It can also be used to measure solids <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cubic_centimetre"><strong>(cm^3)</strong></a>. Volume overall is used to measure the amount space which matter takes up and to calculate the volume of a cube by multiplying the length of an edge of the cube by itself twice. It measures 3-dimensional space. The formula for volume is length x breadth x height. <br><strong>UNIT<br></strong>A cubic centimetre (cm^3) is the volume of a cube whose sides are 1cm.<br>The standard unit of volume is the cubic metre (m^3). The metric system also includes the litre as a unit of voume. One litre is equal to a 10-centimetre-cube. 1 litre=10cm^3=1000 cubic centimetres=0.001 cubic metres. So 1 cubic metre=1000 litres.<br><strong>MORE ABOUT VOLUME</strong><br>Volume is the measure of the amount of space inside of a solid figure, like a cube, ball, cylinder or pyramid. Its units are always cubic, that is, the number of little cubes that fit inside the figure. When you find the volume of an object, the units are cubed. This means that if the measurements of the sides were in metres, then the answer is in metres cubed (metres^3). You only need to know one side to determine the volume of a cube.<br><strong>SQUARE AND CUBIC CENTIMETRES<br></strong>Square centimetres are used to signify the area of a 2-dimensional object (e.g. squares, rectangle, triangles, etc.) while cubic centimetres are used to signify the area of a 3-dimensional object. (e.g. cubes, cuboids, cones, etc.) the little number at the side of cm (2 and 3) can be how many numbers you are multiplying together to get that particular number. For example, 5cm (length) x 3cm (breadth) = 15cm^2 (area) and 5cm (length) x 3cm (breadth) x 2cm (height) = 30cm^3 (area).<br><strong><em>#longestonelol</em></strong><strong><br></strong><br></div>]]></description>
